Lovely as a Tree set from Stampin' Up!

I'm pulling out one of my oldest stamp sets today.  Lovely as a Tree is my go-to stamp set when I need an image of a tree.  Yes, I know that we have a number of new stamp sets and I looked at them before I settled on Lovely as a Tree for today's card.  I really love this set and I know I'll use the new sets in the lead up to the holidays, but I need something old and familiar to match my mood today.

The basecard is Fresh Fig, with a layer of Very Vanilla, Basic Black and then another Very Vanilla layer stamped with the background stamp, Sheet Music.  I sponged the Sheet Music layer with Crumb Cake and a light blush of Fresh Fig to carry the color from the base card to the Sheet Music layer.  I'm really pleased with how it turned out.

I then created an oval layer starting with Whisper White Vellum cardstock.  After stamping the Christmas Tree from Lovely as a Tree in Old Olive, I used the Softly Falling embossing folder to create falling snow on the vellum layer.   You can see the effect better on the first photos.   I then mounted the vellum oval onto a Very Vanilla oval.  I added an Old Olive Sheer Ribbon to the base of a tree.  I triple looped the bow to give it a little fullness.

The sentiment is stamped on Whisper White Vellum using the Oh, What Fun stamp set and Fresh Fig ink.  Then the edges of the sentiment were cut into banners.

Recipe for card:
