Heartfelt Blooms and Butterflies
Today's project uses my favorite Sale-A-Bration set from this year's collection of free gifts, called Heartfelt Blooms. This is a special stamp set created by Stampin' Up! using a new technique they haven't ever used before. It resulted in a very detailed stamp set that is so unusual that Stampin' Up! has applied for a patent on the process used to make this stamp. That's great news because it means we'll see more stamps like this in the future. However, I'm so in love with this stamp set that I can't stop making samples with it. I'm sitting with half a dozen almost-complete samples on my work table because everything I've stamped with this set turns our beautifully.
The basecard for this card is Pumpkin Pie. The accent layer is Basic Black, and then a layer of Whisper White. The flower image from this set was used to stamp the four corners of the Whisper White layer. Pumpkin Pie ink was used.
I choose the Thank You sentiment from this set, which includes 3 beautiful sentiments. Its stamped in Basic Black ink on Whisper white and framed with a scalloped oval in Basic Black.
I created the butterfly using the Move Me Thinlits. I used the Precision Base Plate to create the detail cuts in the Butterfly frame. Its cut from Basic Black and Pumpkin Pie. This stamp set lends itself to using all of your butterfly and dragonfly dies. I'll be creating many more cards with this set and I hope they create many more sets using this technique for the new June catalog. I really don't want to see this set retire.
