Petal Palette stamp set from Stampin' Up!

  • Petal Palette stamps and Petal Pair Embossing folder
  • Blends highlight embossing
  • Last-Chance items

Petal Pair Embossing Folder

Sometimes, your "test" turn into cards.  That's what happened today.  I haven't used my Petal Pair embossing folder in a while and I wanted to see what it would look like if I added color to the embossed images.  I first used daubers and ink pads and lightly brushed the raised images.  It just wasn't colorful enough, so I tried adding Blends Marker ink to a couple of images.  I was so pleased with the results that I added a sentiment and a ribbon, put it on a base card, and done!

I chose Old Olive for my base card.  Then the embossed Petal Pair image is on a Whisper White Layer.  I used the light Calypso Coral and the Light Old Olive blends to highlight the raised areas of the embossed image.

Then sentiment is die cut using the Layering Ovals and cut from Whisper White.  It is framed with a Scalloped oval of Old Olive.

The sentiment and the flower are both stamped in Old Olive, and they are both from the Petal Palette Stamp Set.  I colored the flowers with Light Old Olive Blends for the leaves and Calypso Coral for the flowers.

The ribbon is 5/8" Peekaboo Peach crinkled seam binding ribbon, which is one of the retiring ribbons I stocked up on.  Its retiring and this is your last chance to get it before the end of May.

This stamp set and its coordinating dies will carry over to the new catalog.  However, if you're thinking about getting the Petal Palette bundle, you'll want to order it now and save 10% on the stamp set and dies.  The 10% bundle saving disappears on May 31.  Don't forget to order the matching Petal Pair embossing folder to extending the usefulness of this set.

  • Petal Passion suite gives you a beautiful product family for creating
  • Seats remain for card and Easter treat class
  • Place a $50 or$100 order and receive free Sale-A-bration selections

Petal Pallet stamp set

I'm not sure why I haven't used this set yet.  I've had it since late November and I'm just getting around to breaking it out of it red rubber home.  Petal Pallet is the stamp set and its part of the Petal Passion Suite.  I've seen so many lovely cards created with this set.  It has a coordinating die set, coordinating papers -- Petal Passion Designer Series Paper.  The suite also includes textured embossing folders, embellishments, and a coordinating Petal Passion Memories and More scrapbooking Card Pack.

Maybe I was just a little intimidated by everything included in this suite.  It's such a beautiful suite!  The stamp set is a two case set, as it includes seven image stamps plus eight wonderful sentiments.  I love when Stampin' Up! designer think through everything you need to to create a large variety of projects, and put together a suite of stamps, dies and coordinating papers and embellishments that give you so much to work with.  You'll love thinking of all the cards and projects you'll be able to create using the Petal Passion Suite.

The basecard for today's card is Pink Pirouette.  The next layer is Wild Wasabi, then a very narrow layer of Night of Navy, and then another layer of Pink Pirouette.

The top Pink Pirouette layer is dry embossed with the Simple Stripes Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

The heart die cut uses the Sunshine Wishes Thinlits.  The branch of flowers, the single flower and the bird are all die cut using the  Petals & More Thinlits Dies. A small pearl was placed int he center of the single flower.

The ribbon is the 1/2" Night of Navy Gingham Ribbon.  One tip for easily adhere the delicate die cuts is to use the Multipurpose Adhesive sheets to back your die cuts.  The sentiment is stamped in Night of Navy using the Classic Label punch.  This is one of the cards we're making in this weekends card class.
