Silver Star Christmas Cards

Although my Occasions catalog pre-order arrived today, I'm still in love with the stamp sets from the retiring Holiday catalog.

I was cleaning up my workspace to make space for all my new items -- its like Christmas came early! -- and I happened across this wonderful black and silver dotted paper from the Halloween night Specialty Designer Paper and gave a little shreek as it was embossed with silver dots!  I quickly stamped the stars from Tin of Tags set in Versamark and Silver embossed on Baskic Black cardstock.

As I started looking for matching ribbons, I was about to give up when I spotted this sparkly, already-tied bow on my desk.  It was from the 3/8" Glitter Ribbon Combo Pack from the Holiday catalog, and it looked like it was meant to be part of this card.

Silver embossing is extremely difficult to photograph and after trying two different carmeras and three different lenses, I finally gave up.   What doesn't show very well is the wonderful faux stitching around the sentiment made with the Stitched Shapes Framelits. It took longer to photograph the card than it took to make it!

Stamps: Tin of Tags set
Ink: Versamark,

Paper: Basic Black, Silver Foil Sheets, Halloween Night Specialty Designer Series Paper

There's still time to order this stamp set to make your own cards.  Here are product numbers for the products used on this card, but I would order in the next day or two to have before Christmas.
