Sneak Peek of Halloween Spooky Cat bundle availalbe Sept 1

  • Fun with New Cat Punch
  • August 20 Card Class

Stampin' Up! Spooky Night Suite

I wasn't sure what I wanted to play with in my Kraft room today, but  my dippy dog ate a whole bag of orange jelly beans I had sitting on the edge of my craft table after I filled these cute Treat Tubes and the clear treat bag and I decided I better photography these Halloween items before my dog gets a hold of any more of my samples.   Today I'm working with the new Cat punch, the Spooky Night Designer Series Paper (DSP) and the Spooky Cat stamp set.  This is a sneak peek of some of the Halloween products coming out in the upcoming Holiday Catalog on September 1.  To me, Halloween is all about threat packaging.  Stampin' Up! has given us many great items to create holiday packaging that will delight everyone who receives your treats this year!

Halloween treat holders using clear tiny treat boxes and treat tubes

Above, I've added a punched cat in Basic Black to one of our Clear Tiny Treat Boxes filled with jelly beans.  A perfect little treat.  I had a small metal pail to which I added a band in the Spooky Night Designer Series Paper.  Then I stamped a tag from the Spooky Cat stamp set and added a sentiment from that same set, and attached the tag to the DSP band using glue dots.  The pail I used already had pumpkin faces.  However, the Pick a Pumpkin set and coordinating Patterned Pumpkins Thinlit set in the Holiday catalog can be used to create pumpkin faces to decorate your container.

Below, you can see some of the cats I punched and stamped.  I added them to the new Jute Twine, another sneak peek items from the upcoming Holiday catalog. One of the patterns in the Spooky Night Designer Series Paper includes cats that can be punched out using the new Cat Punch.  You'll have fun creating with both the stamp set and the Designer Series Paper.

Treat Tubes and Clear Tiny Treat Boxes available in the Holiday catalog

I filled the Treat Tubes with Orange and Black jelly beans and candy corn and then used a pumpkin pail I had in my stash to display them.  The Treat Tubes include cork stoppers and are food safe.

Cat punch and Jute Twine make cute banners for Halloween celebrations

Think of the cute holiday displays you'll quickly create using just a few of the new items you'll be able to purchase beginning September 1.  With only 8 weeks from Sept 1 to Halloween, you'll want to order these Halloween items as soon as possible when they become available.

Sneak Peek of Halloween projects using new Stampin' Up! products available September 1 2017

The cat punch and the coordinating Spooky Cat stamp set will be available as a bundle saving you 10% when purchased together.  I didn't finish my samples until after dark, so my photos are full of shadows.  I can't wait until I can photograph these fun projects in natural light tomorrow.

Sneak Peek - Special Holiday Pumpkins help you get ready for Fall now

  • Detailed Pumpkins
  • Holiday papers video sneak peek

Holiday Catalog Gourd Goodness

As soon as I saw this stamp set, I knew this would be at the top of my list.  I'm not sure what it is about pumpkins, but I can't wait each year to get my holiday pumpkins to decorate our porch, and then I can't stand to throw them away.  I usually keep them decorating our front porch until December.  Then I haul them out to the forest behind our house and prop them against the exposed roots of an old tree that I can see from my craft room window and I can watch them for a couple more months.  This year I think they lasted until late March before the raccoons or possums broke through the outer walls and started the sad destruction of my lovely holiday pumpkin.

Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Paper

This set is wonderful because it includes so much detail that the pumpkins actually looks real.  I've been grumbling to myself over the changing stamp market that's been moving away from stamps with a lot of fine detail towards stamps that are more simplistic, line drawings.  And then Stampin' Up! gives us this very lovely, detailed pumpkin set as one of the new stamps coming out in the Holiday Catalog. I'm in heaven! I'm just tickled with this stamp set, which includes two step images of pumpkins, gourds, and leaves.   There is a two step stamp for the body of the pumpkins and separate two step stamps for the stems.

Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Paper

I used Basic Black for my basecard, then a layer of Old Olive, and then two patterns from the new Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Paper set, also from the Holiday Catalog coming out September 1.

I used the Layering squares for the Whisper White layer and one of the scalloped Layering Squares dies for the Basic Black layer.  The stems are stamped in Soft Suede.

Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Paper

The sentiments in Teeny Tiny Wishes includes both the Happy Thanksgiving, which I used on one card, and the Happy Halloween, which I used on the second card.  Both are punched out of Whisper White with the Classic Label punch. Notice the new Black Rhinestone Jewels? Also new.

Want to see a close up of all of the patterns in the Merry Little Christmas Designer Series Papers used on this card...and a sneak peek at all of the other Designer Series Papers coming out September 1 in the Holiday catalog?  Take a look at the short video below:
