Stampin' Up! Fable Friends Easter and Baby Cards

  • Easter, Baby and Spring cards using Fable Friends
  • Last week to place Sale-A-Bration orders for free selections
  • Upcoming Dates to Remember

Stampin' Up! Fable Friends Card Idea

Today's cards uses one of the first stamp sets I ordered from the Occasions catalog.  I knew I wanted a new Easter set, and I always need baby cards, and this set really fits the bill.  It includes such cute images.  You're going to want to pick up the Stampin' Up! Fabled Friends set to use before Easter and use it throughout the Spring and for baby cards all year long.  Add it to your Wish List today.

The basecard for today's card is Balmy Blue.  Then a layer of Crumb Cake, die cut using the Rectangle Stitched Framelit Dies.  Then a small layer of Gingham Gala 6" X 6" Designer Series Paper.

The image layer is an oval cut with the Stitched Shapes Framelit Dies.  The bunny from the Fable Friends stamp set is stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink and colored with Blends Marker.  Blends Marker colors used include:  Light Balmy Blue, Light Soft Sued, and Ivory for the face and hands and ears.  Isn't this little bunny adorable?

Then,  I added the greetings from the Fable Friends set onto a sentiment die cut in Whisper White with a Balmy Blue mat.  These two dies are from the Lilies Framelit Dies.  Then a bow of Balmy Blue from the Organdy Ribbon Pack was added.

This card and and earlier card--both using the Stampin' Up! Fable Friends stamp set, show off the "cuteness" factor of this Occasions catalog stamp set.

A Soft Vellum Floral Romance card

  • Stampin' Up! Floral Romance
  • Piece of Cake Photopolymer Bundle Back in Stock -- for now...
  • Join Paper Pumpkin monthly craft kits and earn a Sale-a-Bration selection

Stampin' Up! Floral Romance card idea

As I was putting away some of my papers, today, I noticed I had about a half sheet of this beautiful pink vellum print from the Floral Romance Designer Series Paper package.  I had use another print from this pack on a recent card and on a whim I decided to redo the same basic layout using this print.  It turned out just as beautiful as my original design.  If you haven't purchased this pack of Designer Series Paper from the Occasions catalog yet, you'll want to add it to your Wish List soon.

The basecard for today's card is Petal Pink.  Then a layer of Whisper White.  Then a layer of the Floral Romance Designer Series Paper.  This Floral Romance print is a soft vellum print.

The image layer is an open rectangle cut with the Rectangle Stitched Framelit Dies.  Then, the image from the Wonderful Romance Stamp Set is stamped in Versamark on Vellum Cardstock, and Heat Embossed with White Embossing Powder.  Tip:  Heat your vellum from the backside and keep your heat tool moving to avoid burning your vellum.

Then, the vellum image is die cut using the coordinating Wonderful Floral Framelit Dies.  I used a few Mini Glue Dots to hold the vellum piece to the frame.

The Whisper White frame was created using the Rectangle Stitched Framelit Dies and is popped up on Dimensionals before adding it to the card front.  I used two different die cuts from the Well Written Framelits Dies as the sentiments.

To finish this card, I added small Pearls to some of the flowers and a triple bow of Polka Dot Tulle.  You'll enjoy the soft look of this beautiful card, and its a card you'll be proud to send.  This White Heat Embossed card can be used as a template that will work with many of the stamp sets available in the Stampin' Up! catalogs.   Have fun creating your own looks with this technique.

Another Home To Roost card; a Free Sale-a-bration stamp set

  • Stampin' Up! Home To Roost
  • Crackle Background Stamp from Occasions Catalog.
  • Join Stampin' Up! for $99 and get $175 in merchandise

Stampin' Up! Home To Roost

I put Home To Roost stamp set away after making yesterday's card, but this stamp set was still on my mind when I was deciding which stamp set to use today. It's a great stamp for staying connected with those you don't get to see that often, or your favorite relative you haven't seen in a while. I decided to use some of the same color combinations from yesterday, but with a few changes.

If you haven't made all of your purchase decisions during Sale-A-Bration, this is one of the "sleeper" sets that you might not have chosen as your first choice as a free Sale-a-Bration selection, but you'll be so happy you decided to add this set to your Wish List before Sale-a-Bration ends next week.  It can be yours free, with a $50 order (not including shipping and tax).

The basecard for today's card is Crumb Cake.  Then a layer of Very Vanilla stamped with the Crackle Paint background stamp with Crumb Cake ink.  Then the banner under the Rooster image  is a layer of Cherry Cobbler with a layer of Crumb Cake dry embossed with the Corrugated Embossing Folder.  Once embossed, I used a Sponge Dauber to lightly ink the ridges of this layer with Crumb Cake ink.

The banner under the Rooster image has a piece of uses a piece of 3/16" Braided Linen Trim, a carry over from the Holiday catalog, tied in a double bow.  The image layer is a circle of Very Vanilla die cut with the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies.

The rooster image is stamped in Cherry Cobbler.  The reeds are stamped off once using Crumb Cake ink.  The sentiment is also from the Home To Roost Stamp Set and it is stamped in Cherry Cobbler and then backed with a piece of Cherry Cobbler cardstock.   I colored three Share What You Love Artisan Pearls with a Dark Cherry Cobbler Blends Marker, an then added them as accents to the image layer and sentiment.  Below is what yesterday's card and today's cards look like together.

You'll enjoy creating original cards with the Home To Roost stamp set with its thoughtful sentiments.  Although we live in a world run by digital communications, a card sent through postal mail can mean a lot to both the sender and the recipient.  It means more than an email, an e-card or even a phone call.  Brighten some one's day with snail mail in a decorated envelope addressed to someone you want to feel your special love.   You can earn this free Sale-A-Bration selection -- Home To Roost -- free with a $50 order, placed by March 31.

The banner uses a piece of Festival Farmhouse, a retired  paper from the Holiday catalog that I just can't seem to part with.  The image layer is a circle of Very Vanilla die cut with the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies.

The rooster image is stamped in Cherry Cobbler.  The reeds are stamped in Sahara Sand.  The sentiment is also from the Home To Roost Stamp Set and it is stamped in Cherry Cobbler and then punched using the Classic Label Punch.  Gold Metallic Pearls accent the image layer and the sentiment.
