Fresh Freesia Monochromatic Swap Cards

I mentioned last week that I was participating in card swaps with other Stampin' Up! Demonstrators.  This week I'll share some of the wonderful cards I received from these swaps.  Today, I have a few cards from the Monochromatic In Color swap.  These card feature Fresh Freesia, which Basic White and Basic Black accents.  I love this new In Color.  It works so well with florals, butterflies or dragonflies!  I'm so glad we have coordinating ribbons and accessories on top of cardstock, designer series paper, and inks in this color.  It makes cardmaking almost effortless when you know your papers, inks, and accessories will match.   

      

The card below was created by a Demonstrator friend, Lorrie Skinner.  She used the Color & Contour Stamp Set for her floral images.  She created the Fresh Freesia background using the Brick 'N Mortar Embossing Folder.  The curved section was created using the Inspiring Canopy Dies.  The basecard is Thick Basic White, and then a layer of Basic white specked with Fresh Freesia dots.  The Color and Contour Dies were used to die cut the stamped and colored flowers.  The flowers were colored with Fresh Freesia Blends.  Three Rhinestones adorn the upper left corner.  I love the way the bricks show through the curved area.

This next card, below, uses the Flowers of Friendship Stamp Set.  This set is part of a bundle that includes a punch for more flowers and leaves. Again, the main colors used on this card are Fresh Freesia Cardstock and 2021-2023 6" X 6" In Color Designer Series Papers.  The sentiment uses the Double Oval Punch and Highland Heather ink for the stamped flowers and Fresh Freesia ink for the sentiment.  The beautiful 3/8" Open Weave Ribbon and bow adds a soft touch, as does the butterfly die cut using the Brilliant Wings Dies.  Unfortunately, there was no name on this beautiful card..  If this is your card, thank you for the beautiful use of Fresh Freesia.

This final card, below, was a card I created for this swap, and posted previously.    I also used Fresh Freesia Cardstock as my Basecard along with 2021-2023 6" X 6" In Color Designer Series Paper, and Basic White Cardstock.  I used the Dragonfly Garden Stamp Set and the coordinating Dragonflies Punch to create the images on this card.  I added a sentiment using the Stitched So Sweetly Dies and a Pastel Pearls as an accent.  The dragonflies were stamped on 2021-2023 In Color Shimmer Vellum with Highland Heather Ink.   You can find a more detailed explanation for creating this card in this earlier post.   

These cards showcase the different looks you can create  with just one of the In Colors, Designer Series Paper, and Basic White. This is a color that feels fresh and honest.  It is the perfect color to convey friendship. Daisies, Daisies and more Daisies create beautiful Monochromatic Cards

I made this collection of Daisy cards for a card swap I've been working on.  This card is a monochromatic card using the new Pale Papaya In Color Cardstock, and Basic White.  I used the Daisy Garden Stamp Set for the image layer background, the Daisy Lane Stamp set for the two Daisies, and the Forever Flourishing dies to create foliage behind the daisies.  I stamped the Daisy Garden image in Pale Papaya ink stamped off once before stamping it onto the Pale Papaya cardstock.  Add a few gems and a coordinating Pale Papaya ribbon and bow, and the card is finished.      

The basecard for this card is Pale Papaya Cardstock, one of the new In Colors this year.  Then, the next layer is Basic White.  Finally, an image layer of Pale Papaya Cardstock, which is stamped with the Daisy Garden Stamp Set.  I used Pale Papaya ink, and stamped off one before stampin the image on the Pale Papaya Paper as I wanted a very faint image behind the two Daisy flowers.  I love the way this image creates a beautiful background behind the flowers.

The large Daisy is stamped twice on Basic White Cardstock in Pale Papaya Ink and then punched out with the Daisy Punch.  Then the two daisies are offset and layered on top each other to create a fuller daisy image.  I then stamped the smaller Daisy from the Daisy Lane Stamp Set twice onto Pale Papaya Cardstock using Pale Papaya ink.  I used the Medium Daisy Punch to punch out the two Daisies, and like the larger daisy, I layered the two smaller daisies together to create a fuller daisy.   I added Pale Papaya Genial Gems to the centers of each Daisy.     

  

I die cut from Vellum 8-1/2 X 11 Cardstock some foliage using one of the dies from the Forever Flourishing Dies, and glued the stems behind the Daisies, but left the tops of the vellum loose to create more texture on the card.  Then I cut a piece of Basic White scrap at an angle on one end, and stamped a sentiment from the Daisy Lane Stamp Set on it using Pale Papaya Ink.  I added another Genial  Gem to the edge of the sentiment.  I also added a Pale Papaya open weave  bow to the card.  

This is another one of the new In Colors that never fails to brighten my day.  Pale Papaya is like a ray of sunshine.  It radiates warmth and happiness.  I can't believed how much of this new Pale Papaya I've used already.  I've had to order more to make sure I don't run out.   Saving money also puts me in a good mood.   Find  ways to save during the January-June 2021 Mini Catalog Last Chance sale going on now.  See below. Order from my Stampin' Up! shopping site  24 X 7.
