We met yesterday for our Paper Pumpkin Procrastinators Meetup.  I put together the July Fun in the Sun Paper Pumpkin Kit.  This kit makes 9 cards.  Three of them I assembled pretty much according to the kit instructions because I wanted to see how the fancy folds worked.  They were sooo easy!  And I loved the fun cards created with this kit.  Then I decided to create 6 more cards using contents from the kit.  I found some great ideas on the Facebook Paper Pumpkin Fan Club site.  which includes not only wonderful ideas for alternative card ideas for your kits, but several useful Paper Pumpkin Kit resources in the files on this site.  I found three alternative card ideas from Debbie Henderson from Debbie Henderson Designs.com that I decided to try.  I loved how they turned out, and I especially liked how fast these cards went together using elements from the kit.  If you haven't tried Paper Pumpkin Kits, take a look below at the kit coming this   August.  It even includes a free extra stamp! Kits are great if you're just starting out and don't have a lot of supplies, because everything you need is included in your kit.  Or, if you're an experienced stamper, you'll loving trying a new technique, like this months fancy folds, or the fun of creating your own card alternatives using elements in the kit.  

     

These are the three cards created using the instructions and elements in the Fun in the Sun July 2023 Paper Pumpkin Kit.  I made minimal changes to the instructions as these were darling, just the way they were designed.   I'm tempted to order the refills, which only Paper Pumpkin subscribers can do.  

 

Next, for the three alternative cards above, I cut Daffodil Delight, Calypso Coral, and Pool Party card bases and made alternative cards using the Fun in the Sun Paper Pumpkin Kit contents based on ideas from Debbie Henderson's posting on www.DebbieHendersonDesigns.com.  

Here's a close up of the Calypso Coral alternative card.  I used Calypso Coral ink on the sentiment and items from the Paper Pumpkin kit.   

 

Another alternative card using the Daffodil Delight base card is show above.  I again used Calypso Coral ink for the sentiment on the sign instead of the Daffodil Delight spot that was included in the kit.   

Above the the third alternative card created using the elements from the July 2023 Fun in the Sun Paper Pumpkin Kit.  I used Calypso Coral ink for the sentiment, which is one of the stamps included in the ki.
