Why Do You Want to Become A Stampin' Up! Demonstrator?

My team currently has vacancies for new team members, and I would like to invite you to join.  There is no time like the present to grab this fabulous opportunity.

Are you looking for a meaningful hobby - one that brings double joy?  Stamping brings joy to the stamper and to the recipient of the stamped projects.  If you love to create, and if you love to master new things, cardmaking is a great hobby with a great deal of autonomy.

Have you ever thought about becoming a crafting entrepreneur as a creative outlet?  Do you love mastering new products and sharing them with others? Do you want to love what you do?  Get more out of life?  Be more socially connected?  Crave recognition for your creative abilities? Do you like helping people, and would you be interested in getting paid to do so?  Would you be open to earning a part-time income, or running a business on the side if it didn't interfere with what you're already doing?

STAMPIN' UP! NEEDS ALL KINDS OF DEMONSTRATORS:

DISCOUNT DEMONSTRATOR:  Like the idea of buying stamps for personal use at a discount and occasionally sells to friends and family. Learn new creative techniques. Wants a fun hobby with a way to connect with others and grow cherished friendship.

SHORT-TERM DEMONSTRATOR:  Sells for a short period of time to earn specific amount of money and stops after reaching the goal.  Or, watches for Sign-up specials to refresh cardstock colors and new ink colors, and new stamp sets for your personal craft collection.

HOBBY DEMONSTRATOR:  Loves hosting workshops for herself or himself or, occasionally others to earn extra money when it is convenient for you.  Works a lot in some months and very little in other months  Doesn't feel obligated to sell to others or book workshops but will do so upon request. May use stamped projects as a ministry or for charitable purposes

CAREER DEMONSTRATOR:  Views a Stampin' Up! demonstratorship as a viable business with long-term career potential, masters new products, pursues management and wants to move up the career ladder, loves attending Stampin' Up! events and has developed close social relationships with other demonstrators, feels fulfilled at her or his business in a consistent and ongoing manner using social media.  Enjoys giving-back as part of Stampin' Up! making-a-difference stamp sets and organized events or events planned on your own

FAQ ABOUT BECOMING A DEMONSTRATOR

Q.  Why Stampin' Up?

A.  Become part of an organization that's been in business over 30 year, and already has over 50,000+ demonstrators world wide.  A company that cares about it's demonstrators.  A company that provides its demonstrators the tools to be successful.  Not creative?  Don't worry, you'll soon find that you really are creative.  However, Stampin' Up! provides "Done For You" ideas, samples, and a Kits Collection. You can duplicate Stampin' Up! Done For You ideas on your own and then show others how to do the same. You'll also find me to be a wealth of ideas. With a family of demonstrators also creating wonderful ideas for using Stampin' Up! products, you'll find plenty of inspiration on Pinterest, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, and personal blogs of other demonstrators.  And most demos are flattered when you CASE (Copy and Share Everywhere) their projects, when you give them credit for their original idea.
.
Q.  Is there a minimum I have to maintain in sales?
A.  To maintain an active demonstratorship you need to maintain sales of $300 per quarter (every 3 months) from customers or demonstrators.  Even if you sign up as a hobby demonstrator, this could easily be maintained by making occasional sales to your stampin' friends in addition to your own purchases.  One idea is to host a Paper Pumpkin Craft Kit party each month with each friend purchasing a Paper Pumpkin subscription for 3 or 6 months through you so you can all craft together without a lot of prep or even if you have limited supplies.  You can even get together in a coffee shop or restaurant so no one has to clean their home!  Spice up your party with a contest on making alternative projects with each kit.

Q.  Do I have to do workshops?
A.  Only if you want to!  The choice is absolutely yours.  If you never want to present a workshop, then you never have to.  But if you would like to do workshops, then its entirely up to you. You decide the kind of workshop and schedule.  Stampin' University also includes a number of tutorials for how to host classes on-line through Facebook Live or Zoom Meetings.  Use the samples in the catalog for your card ideas or create your own. Your fellow demonstrators also post project ideas on demonstrator-only Facebook groups called the Demonstrator Planning Place.  Demonstrators love to share.  Join a card swap with other Demonstrators for a supply of card samples to use in your Workshops.  And Stampin' Up! publishes new ideas for Demonstrator use every Tuesday.  Also, using social media, you'll find that you can present workshops on YouTube, or Facebook Live to drive sales in addition to or without hosting in-home workshops.  It won't happen over-night, but with consistency, you'll find your business growing.  The average sales from a workshop is $300 in commissionable sales, so about one workshop a month will not only meet your quarterly minimum, but help you obtain higher titles and larger discount levels.

Q.  How can I earn money?
A.  You earn an immediate 20% on all of your sales in any given month.  This becomes a 25% once you reach $1,800 in sales.  You can earn addition depending on your title and level of sales in any given month.  If you choose to build a team of your own who wish to become Stampin' Up! demonstrators, you can also earn team commissions, which the company pays to you based on the sales of your recruits three levels down.  Demonstrators have strengths in different areas. Some excel in personal sales; some shine in nurturing new recruits and helping them advance; others have a knack for developing team leaders.  Performance bonuses compensate demonstrators who show exceptional achievement in sales, recruiting, or leadership.

Q.  Do I have to keep products "in stock"?
A.  No.  You will place orders that are paid for in advance by your customers so you won't need to keep any inventory.  Or, your customers will use your on-line Stampin' Up! store to place their orders with you getting sales credits when they order.  We do have a few items considered "Cash & Carry," such as Kits from the Kit Collection and adhesives so you can offer your customers adhesives when they run out in the middle of a stamping event.

Q.  Do I get any training?
A.  As your team leader, I'm here to help in any capacity that you require on your stampin' journey.  I've been a Demonstrator for over 15 years, and I can provide you the rationale of why Stampin' Up! operates as it does and ways you can benefit.  I'm always just a phone call, email or text away.  As a former director of web sites for two different Fortune 50 companies, I'm able to work with you to set up your own free website, and can help get you started with social media (Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, Meetup) as well as get the most out of Stampin' Up! tools to help you drive traffic to your blog and on-line Stampin' Up! store.  You can market throughout the USA.  I've also managed extremely large Corporate Programs in Communications, IT and Engineering, and can help you with time management and project management.  We don't need to live in the same city.  We can use Zoom, FaceTime, or other face-to-face computer applications, texts and emails to work together.  I do recommend you work on a laptop rather than a phone or tablet  if you plan to blog on your own website. You'll also receive regular mailings of samples, ideas and quarterly team updates to help remind you of upcoming Stampin' Up! promotions, tools, and deadlines.

Stampin' Up! also provides a Stampin' University on the Demonstrator website to provide you with templates, videos, and other marketing materials, and photos to show you how to maximize your Demonstratorship at every step of your growth.

Stampin' Up! also has a wonderfully helpful Demonstrator Support team that you can call or email for questions or help when you're unable to immediately reach me.  And, Stampin' Up! sends a weekly email packed with tips, ideas and tools to help you get the most from your Demonstratorship.

Q.  What are the start up costs?
A.  The cost of the Stampin' Up! starter kit is $99, and your can completely customize it from items from current catalogs up to $125.00, plus your kit ships free!   (Looks for occasional Joining Bonus Opportunities, like  January 2024 during Sale-A-Bration for additional free products selections.) You can sign up completely on-line. Click the "Get Started Today" link below.  Or contact me and we'll work through your Starter-Kit Order and paperwork together.  It should take less than an hour, and your demonstrator number will arrive in about 10-20 minutes.  You can begin placing Demonstrator orders with your 20% discount as soon as your demonstrator number arrives by email-- usually about 30 minutes from the time you sign up.

Q.  What if I decide it's not for me after I've signed up?
A.  There is no penalty for dropping.  You simply stop placing orders at the end of a quarter.  However, Stampin' Up! gives you an extra month to make up your quarterly requirement, if you decide to continue.  But there is no requirement to continue.  And, later, we can work together to decide on the best strategy if you plan to join my Stampin' Up! team again.  You're always welcome back!
