I received my preorder from the upcoming September - December 2023 Mini Catalog this week, and today, with 100+ degree heat keeping me indoors, I decided to start creating Fall-themed cards. I'm using the All About Autumn Suite today, which includes the Autumn Leaves Bundle of stamp set and dies, the Distressed Tile Embossing Folder, and prints from the All About Autumn 6" X 6" Specialty Designer Series Paper. If you have been waiting to use this year's In Colors, you'll love using them with this Suite of Stampin' Up! Products. I used Moody Mauve, Copper Clay, and Wild Wheat Cardstock colors, and added Pecan Pie, Cajun Craze and Night of Navy Cardstock. One of the layers of Moody Mauve is dry embossed with the Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder, and I added Moody Mauve Textured Ribbon and 2023-2025 In Color Dots in Moody Mauve to accent my card. This suite has so much more to work with that this card is just scratching the surface of what you'll be able to create. You'll want to add this suite to your Shopping List for when the catalog goes live 6 September 2023. My customers should watch their mail for a copy of the new Mini catalog, which should be arriving any day now.
The basecard for this card is Moody Mauve Cardstock. Then anther layer of Moody Mauve Cardstock dry embossed using the Distressed Tile 3D Embossing Folder. Then I selected one of the prints from the All About Autumn 6 X 6" Specialty Designer Series Paper and cut a 2" strip to used on my card. I matted this with a 2-1/4" wide Night of Navy Cardstock to set this print off from the background Cardstock.
Next, I used the Autumn Leaves Dies and created two large leaves for my card front. One is die cut from Copper Clay Cardstock with Cajun Craze Cardstock veins. The other is die cut from Pecan Pie Cardstock with Wild Wheat Cardstock veins. The Copper Clay leaf is glued flat, and the Pecan Pie leaf is popped up on Dimensionals. I found that the Fine Tipped Glue Pen worked best for attaching the veins dies to the leaf.
To complete my card, I cut a Misty Mauve Cardstock sentiment label with another die from the Autumn Leaves Dies. I used Versamark ink to stamp one of the sentiments from the Autumn Leaves Stamp Set onto the label, covered it with White Embossing Powder, and set it with my Heat Tool. Looking at my final card, I might try a darker color sentiment ink color--like Berry Burst or Gold Embossing-- on the next card I make like this. I love playing with new products and trying out different combinations. I added a Moody Mauve 3/8" Textured Ribbon under the label and popped the sentiment label up on Dimensionals. Finally, I added three 2023-2025 Moody Mauve In Color Dots.
