Today's card is a redo of a layout I created about a month ago. I needed a quick card for family members moving into their first home, and after looking through my current stamps sets, I came up blank. Fear not; we stampers have a stash of retired stamp sets that helps save the day. Yes, I dug out an old wood mounted stamp set called Right A Home that worked perfectly. But what I really, really love is the fact that the new annual catalog, which is already in the hands of Demonstrators includes a new, update version of this stamp set called "From Our Home" on page 108, which I can't show you yet, but will be available May 1 with the release of the new Annual Catalog.
I'm using a beautifully subtle print from the Softly Stippled Designer Series Paper pack. This paper was a Free Sale-A-Bration Selection that I'm using before the new papers and new card and envelope packs become available from the new Annual Catalog. This paper also coordinates with the Stippled Roses Stamp Set, which will carry over to the new catalog, and so I'll continue using it until I'm out. This card features the three home images from the retired Right At Home Stamp Set, and will work perfectly with the From Our Home Stamp Set from the new Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog. The Everyday Details Dies create interesting dot accents around the image area and on the banner. The sentiment is from the retied Softly Sophisticated Stamp Set, and the stunning leaves print in the Softly Stippled Designer Series Paper steals the show.
I've pairing this lovely Softly Stippled print with images from the retired Right At Home Stamp Set, but soon I'll be replacing this old wood-mounted set with the new From Our Home Stamp Set, Item 163680, on page 108 of the new Annual Catalog. I selected a Wild Wheat card base for this card. Then a layer of Basic White Cardstock was used as a matte for the Softly Stippled 12" X 12" Designer Series Paper with a leaf design. I created a banner of Wild Wheat with a Basic White Cardstock matte, and used one of the Everyday Details Dies to create the patterned design across the banner.
I added a basic White insert for the inside of my card, and stamped more images from the Right at Home Set using Pecan Pie Ink and Wild Wheat Blends. For the front of the card, the image area includes layers of Basic White Cardstock, Wild Wheat Cardstock and another Basic White Cardstock layer. I used the Everyday Details Dies to create the hole pattern in the the Wild Wheat layer. Next, I stamped the Houses in Pecan Pie ink on Basic White cardstock, and fussy cut it before popping it up on Dimensionals and adding it to the image area. I used Light Wild Wheat Blends to color the roofs and doors and accents on the houses.
