Playful Deer Christmas Card idea using Peaceful Deer Stamp Set

  • Stampin' Up! Peaceful Deer Stamp Set
  • Coordinating Deer Builder Punch
  • Select Peaceful Prints 12" X 12" Designer Series Paper as a Free Sale-A-Bration selection with $50 order

I still had one of the prints from Peaceful Prints Designer Series Paper on my work surface and decided to make another card using the Peaceful Deer Bundle, one of my favorite new sets from the July-December 2021 Mini Catalog.  I paired it with die cuts from the Stitched Stars Dies, the Wintry 3D embossing Folder, and a Whisper White Crinkled Seam Binding Bow to create this simple card with a playful deer focal point.  And a quick reminder:   Until 30 September, for each $50 or $100 order you place (less tax and shipping), you'll earn FREE Sale-A-Bration selections.

Download a free copy of the Sale-a-Bration Brochure here.

The basecard for this card is Thick Basic White Cardstock.  Then Star Die Cuts were created using one of the dies from the Stitched Stars Dies.  Tip:  I backed the Cherry Cobbler Cardstock with Adhesive Sheets before diecutting the swirly stars, which made it very easy to remove the backing from the die cut and adhere to the top and bottom of my card.

The image layer of the center of the card is Basic White Cardstock dry embossed using the Wintry 3D embossing Folder, and matted with a piece of Cherry Cobbler Cardstock.  The deer was punched from the Peaceful Prints 12" X 12" specialty Designer Series Paper from the Sale-A-Bration Brochure.  It was punched out using the Deer Builder Punch.

The sentiment was stamped on a die cut from the Bloom Dies.  The sentiment is one of several from the Peaceful Deer Stamp Set, and it is tamped in Cherry Cobbler ink.  I also added a bow out of Whisper White 1/4" Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon, and added three Red Rhinestones Basic Jewels to complete the card.

I'm sure I'll be making many more cards using the Peaceful Deer Stamp Set and it's coordinating Deer Builder Punch.  And I used some of my Free Sale-A-Bration selections with my recent order to pickup several packages of Peaceful Prints Specialty designer Series Paper, which coordinates with the Peaceful Deer Bundle.

Last week, we received a heads up that suppliers both in the US and China that supply SU products are running behind, with low inventory on several ink pad colors and a few holiday catalog items already in shot supply. Order now so you aren't disappointed later.

Visit my Stampin' Up! on-line store to place your order.  Use the August Host Code if your order is between $50-$149 before shipping and tax to qualify for a thank you gift for shopping with me.  Orders over $150 earn Stampin' Rewards from Stampin' Up!, and you do not use the Host Code to qualify.  August Host Code:  VA4XYHGEV

Stampin' Up! So Many Stars with Cherry Cobbler Ribbon

  • Stitched Stars Dies and So Many Stars Stamp Set
  • Final two days to order your October Paper Pumpkin

Stampin' Up! So Many Stars

The first thing you're probably going to say about today's card, after going "oohh...ahhh" is that we don't have Cherry Cobbler Ribbon in our current catalogs.  So how does she expect us to make this card?  Well, its true.  We don't have Cherry Cobbler ribbon.  So keep reading and I'll show you how I created the ribbon I wanted to use on this card. I used Cherry Cobbler and Gold foil along with So Many Starts Stamp Set and Stitched Stars Dies.  Now I can't wait to try with same card with Granite Gray with White heat embossed dies and gold foil accents.

The basecard for this card is Cherry Cobbler.  Then the next layer is Gold Foil Sheets.  Then another layer of Cherry Cobbler stamped with stars using the So Many Stars Stamps Sets heat set with Gold Embossing Powder.  Then another smaller layer of Gold Foil Sheets and the Cherry Cobbler cardstock.

Then I die cut several of the stars and elements using the Stitched Stars Dies out of Gold Foil Sheets and added them to the card surface.

Since we have no Cherry Cobbler ribbon, I decided to make my own.  Using a clear block, the 5/8" Petal Pink Organdy Striped Ribbon. and a Cherry Cobbler ink pad, I colored the ribbon before tying it in a bow to use on my card.

You'll find so many creative ways to combine the So Many Stars Bundle from the Stampin' Up! Holiday catalog. I hope this beautiful card will inspire you to make hand-made cards for someone you love. You'll love everything you make with these products.
