Sneak Peek of Stampin' Up! Lasting Lily Sale-A-Bration set

Stampin' Up! Lasting Lily Stamp Set

I'm showing another sneak peek today of another free Stampin' Up! Sale-A-Bration selection; the Lasting Lily stamp set.  This is one of the two selections that is free with a $100 order beginning January 3 as part of Sale-A-Bration; and well-worth it!  The lovely stamp set includes this beautiful lily and 10 different sentiments.  I've used two of them on the two versions of the cards I created today.  You'll want to save some of your holiday gift money for January 3, when the new Occasions catalog is released and you'll be able to select free Sale-A-Bration gifts -- like the Lasting Lily stamp set -- with your $50 or $100 order.

The Stampin' Up! Lasting Lily stamp set is a Distinktive-style stamp set.  That means it uses the special technology patented by Stampin' Up! to make the stamp look like it has been stamped two or three times to crate realistic shading.

I used my Stamparatus and stamped both Grapefruit Grove lilies at the same time.  Then I use the stems on clear blocks to stamp the stems and the sentiments.

The ink and papers used were Grapefruit Grove, Whisper White and the polka dots are one of the 6" X 6" In Color 6 X 6" prints from the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog.  The stems and sentiment were stamped in Pear Pizzazz.

The accents in the right hand card are the Grapefruit Faceted Dots form the Accessories section of the  Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog.  I can't wait to try this beautiful stamp set in more colors.  It is so lovely in real life.

Recipe

  • Stamps: Lasting Lily available Jan 3
  • Paper:  Grapefruit Grove, Whisper White, In Color 6 X 6" Designer Series Paper
  • Ink:  Grapefruit Grove, Pear Pizzazz
  • Accessories:   Faceted Dots

Year-End Closeouts continue through January 2 2019

We all love year-end bargains.  Stretch your holiday budget by purchasing discounted merchandise now, while supplies last.   A few surplus items from the annual catalog are also included in this sale.  Don't wait, as some items have already sold out.

This is also a great time to pick up your retiring favorites from the Holiday catalog that will go away January 2.

If you're like me, you want a complete list of the retiring Holiday catalog items so you can mark up your Stampin' Up! Holiday catalog for easier reference.  Here's a pdf of the Full Year-End Closeout list, including which items are discounted.

Winter Woods bundle will carry over

I love that some of my favorite Holiday Stamp Sets will carry over beyond the Holiday catalog period.  Winter Woods is one of my favorite new stamp sets from the Holiday catalog, and it ties back and works well with the Lovely as a Tree Stamp set and the Rooted in Nature Bundle from the annual Stampin' Up! catalog.

The advantage of purchasing the Winter Woods Bundle now as part of the Year End-Close out is that you can still purchase the stamp set and coordinating dies at a 10% savings when the stamp set and dies are purchased as a bundle.  However, although you'll be able to purchase Winter Woods after the Year-End Closeout, beginning January 3, you won't be able to purchase the set at the 10% bundle savings.  Take a closer look at this fun bundle in the attached video.  Winter Woods - (wood-mount, 149991; clear-mount - 149992).  I recommend the clear mount, as it works with the Stamparatus, if you choose to use it.  Wood-mount stamps don't work with your Stamparatus.

Stampin' Up! Under the Mistletoe Suite available now from the Annual Catalog

Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog Sneak Peek

Here's another cute fall-themed card and a sneak peek at more of the new products that will be available September 5 from the Stampin' Up Holiday catalog.  The images are actually cut from one of the prints from the Toil & Trouble Designer Series Paper.  I used Blends to add more shading to the pumpkins to give them more realistic coloring, but these pumpkins are cute just as they are.  The checked paper is a Christmas Paper from the Stampin' Up! annual catalog, which means you can order it this month and earn Bonus Coupons AND start creating holiday cards before the release of the Holiday catalog. Its from the Under the Mistletoe Suite, which includes coordinating papers, stamp sets, red rhinestones, ribbons, and embossing folders.

The Old Olive on the bottom of the card is dry embossed with the Subtle Embossing Folder.  It is difficult to photograph, but in real life it looks very classy.  The ribbon is 1/2" Black Satin Ribbon from the Annual Stampin' Up! Catalog.  And the sentiment is from a Fall stamp set, called Country Home, a wonderful new set from the Holiday Catalog.  You're going to love the images in this new set, which I'll show you in future posts...so stay tuned!  This is an easy, fast card that you'll love making and sending to friends and family, now that the kids are back in school and you're thinking about the holidays quickly approaching as we move into Fall.

Here's what you need to make a pile of these fast cards.

      Directions for today's card:

      • Basic Black basecard
      • Next layer is one of the prints from Under the Mistletoe Designer Series Paper on the top portion
      • The bottom layer is Old Olive dry embossed with the Subtle Embossing Folder.
      • A 1/2" Black Satin Ribbon with a tied bow attached with glue dots
      • Then the image layers include a black scalloped layer and a Whisper White layer created with the Layering Squares Framelits.
      • The pumpkins were selected from several different pumpkin images on one of the prints from the Toil & Trouble Designer Series Papers (DSP), a Halloween paper set from the upcoming Holiday catalog.  I fussy cut them from the DSP and glued them to the image layers.

      • The sentiment is from the Country Home stamp set from the Holiday Catalog.  It is stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink on Whisper White.  Notch the end to create a tail.
      • Here are some additional projects created with the Under the Mistletoe Designer Series Paper and its coordinating suite of products, available in the annual catalog, pp 94-95.  Purchase before August 31 and your purchase qualifies for Bonus Coupons.  (Read more about Bonus Coupons below.)
