  • Retiring Lists for Annual Catalog and January-April Mini Catalog
This card was inspired by all of the Shimmer and Shine products we have in the Stampin' Up! product line  I started with Soft Succulent Shimmer Paper in the Stampin' Up! January - April 2023 Mini Catalog, and paired it with Soft Succulent Cardstock,  Fancy Flora Designer Series Paper,  Soft Succulent Satin Shimmer Ribbon, and Crumb Cake Butterflies using Brilliant Wings Dies.  I added a little more bling with Gold Sequins from the Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins pack.  I used sentiments from the Go To Greeting Stamp Set, heat embossed in White Embossing Powder on Soft Succulent and fussy cut with a boarder.  You''ll enjoy creating cards like this to give someone special in your life.

The basecard for today's card is Soft Succulent Fine Shimmer 12" X 12" Paper.  Then a layer of Soft Succulent Cardstock.  Then a layer of one of the prints from the Fancy Flora 6" X " Designer Series Paper Pack.

Next, I used the Stylish Shapes Dies to die cut a circle out of the Fancy Flora Designer Series Paper, and mounted it on Dimensionals.   I die cut two different sizes of butterflies out of Crumb Cake Cardstock using the Brilliant Wings Dies and mounted them on the raised circle.

To finish my card, I  added a bow of 1/2" Soft Succulent Satin Shimmer Ribbon from a Retired Ribbon pack I picked up on the Clearance Rack a while back.  Then i stamped sentiments in Versamark Ink onto Soft Succulent Cardstock using the Stampin' Up! Go To Greetings Stamp Set, covered the sentiments in White Embossing Powder, and set them with my Heat Tool.  Then I fussy cut around the letters leaving about a 1/4" boarder of cardstock.  I mounded them on Dimensionals before adding them to my cards.  To finish, I added several Gold Pastel Adhesive-Backed Sequins to my card.

Retiring Colors ... and 1 correction

Stampin' Up! Demonstrators were able to preview the new Annual Catalog for 2023-2024 that will become available to customers 2 May 2023.

As part of the new catalog, about every 5 years or so, Stampin' Up! refreshes the complete color collection to ensure we are keeping up with current color trends.

Stampin' Up! also announced to demonstrators the current Core colors that will retire from the Stampin' Up! product line.  There are 11 Core colors that will no longer be available after 1 May 2023.  Here they are:

Colors retiring include Soft Suede, Sahara Sand, Blushing Bride, Rich Razzelberry, Pacific Point, Bermuda Bay, Mint Macaron, Pear Pizzaz, So Saffron, Mango Melody and Merry Merlot.  REALLY!... Pear Pizzaz and Rich Razzelberry!?

Correction:  I incorrected stated in yesterday's post that Coastal Cabana was retiring. Coastal Cabana IS NOT retiring; Mint Macaron is retiring.  Image above has been updated.

You'll want to review you current projects, and Paper Pumpkin Kits to ensure you have enough Cardstock, Blends, Markers, and ink refills to ensure you have the colors you need to complete your projects.

Typically, once Stampin' Up! announces retiring colors, they tend to sell out fast, so order your favorites before they are gone.
