Christmas Swaps from OnStage

I'm showing another collection of Christmas Cards that I received as swaps during the Stampin' Up! OnStage event in Salt Lake City.

As I mentioned previously, I participated in both organized and ad hoc swapping with my fellow demonstrators.  We swapped cards in the aisles waiting for events to begin, during lunch at the Convention Center, before and after classes where we saw new products coming out this Spring, and at the hotel.  Stampin' Up! demonstrators love to swap cards!

I was so excited that the cards I received, that I took photos of many of them to show you.  Unfortunately, I wasn't very good about keeping the right card with the envelope showing who created each card.  To make matters worse, I glued many of the cards to my display boards to use in a recent class, obscuring any tags remaining on the back of the cards.  Typically, when I show swap cards, I credit the creator.  Apologies in advance.  I really wanted to share the ideas with you., but I no longer have the names of the creators to add to my post.

We're under embargo, so I can't show you exciting new products coming out in January yet, but I can share with you card swaps using current products you can purchase today!  Be sure to check the Year-End sale, which begins December 1.

I love this collection of cards.  I chose them because they used the Garden Green and Cherry Cobbler cardstock with Winter White and a selection of different Christmas Papers offered in this season's catalogs.

The card above uses the Quilted Christmas 6" X 6" Designer Series Paper  and the 1/4" Quilted Christmas Ribbon.  The small tree and sentiment are from the wonderful Watercolor Christmas stamp set.

This next card uses several items from the Quilted Christmas Suite. It uses the Christmas Quilt stamp set, two patterns from the Quilted Christmas 6" X 6" Designer Series Paper, and one of the Stitched Felt Embellishments.

The card above uses one of the holiday stamps from the Festive Phrases stamp set.  The card uses the Be Merry Designer Series Paper.  and is embellished with Whisper White Silver Trimmed ribbon and a white boarder punched with the Decorative Ribbon Border.

This Christmas card uses the Feeling of Christmas Stamp Set -- a two step stamp set--and the letters were cut using the Large Letters Framelits.  In addition to the Cherry Cobbler cardstock, this card uses the Quilted Christmas 6" X 6" Designer Series Paper.  The card also includes an accent of Mini Tinsel Trim.

The card above uses the Seasonal Lantern Bundle, including the Seasonal Lantern Stamp set and coordinating Lantern Builder Framelits Dies.

Alternative Rosette Ornaments from the Stampin' Up! Kit

  • Be Merry Christmas Ornament Kit Alternative
  • Video instructions on assembling the Be Merry Rosettes
  • OnLine Extravaganza Continues with great savings on select items

Happy Hanukkah Ornament kits

Just in time for Holiday decorating, the Be Merry Rosette Ornaments kit.  Although these kits are designed for Christmas, I worked up an alternative version that can be used for Hanukkah.  Hang these beautiful Rosettes on gift baskets, add a stick to use them in gift bouquets, create a wreath, or use them as gift tags on packages.  The kits make 12 rosettes, 6 each of 2 designs, with a finished size of 4" in diameter.  These kits come ready-to-assemble in Old Olive and Real Red die-cut accents, white die cut circles, gold foil doilies, green and red glimmer paper, and all the pieces you need to create Rosettes.

However, I used the back side of the rosettes, which were white, purchased some blue glitter tulle, blue glitter paper, stickers, and used our foil doilies, our silver edged ribbon, and a retired Hanukkah set to create the rosette below.

This is my Hanukkah alternative using the Ornament Kit

These are the kit contents as they were meant to be assembled

Here are my finished projects.

I was crafting with family over Thanksgiving week end and my creative niece came up with several more alternative designs using this kit.

Here are some of our fun rosette creations.  I added sticks to some to use in a flower display.  My niece is going to  use most of her's as tags for packages.  They are  a nice size at 4 inches.

These are my ideas for using the kit

These are creations my niece, Jen came up with for this kit

Here are a few closeups of some of my niece's alternative ornaments.

These were so fast to assemble because everything is prescored and folded for quick assembly.  The extra items I purchased to make the Hanukkah alternative are readily available.  The base ornament kits can be purchased through my Stampin' Up! online store.  I also used silver foil doilies, 3/8' silver edged white ribbon from Stampin' Up!

Take a look at this video showing how easily these Rosettes assemble.  You need a hot glue gun, Stampin' Dimensional, Fine Tipped Glue and Paper Snips to hep you complete this project kit.
