I have another another Double Decker Pop Out Card to share today.  I created this one using the Stampin' Up1 Darling Details Stamp Set. This one is pretty simple for supplies.  In addition to the Darling Details Stamp Set, it uses Thick and regular Basic White, a piece of Sweet Sorbet used as a Matt, a layer of Flowers and More Designer Series Paper, and a few Melon Mambo Opaque Adhesive Backed Gems.  The florals from Darling Details Stamp Set is a two step stamp, and I stamped off Sweet Sorbet for the inner flower and used Sweet Sorbet ink full strength as the flower outline.  The stems are stamped in Granny Apple Green, and the sentiments -- also from the Darling Details Stamp Set-- are stamped in Sweet Sorbet ink.  The front and inner panels are dry embossed using different 3D embossing folders.  One sample uses the Crosshatch embossing folder, one of the three 3D Embossing Folders.  The other sample card uses the Metal Plate 3D Embossing Folder.   Thank you to Demonstrator,  Susan Campfield, for the inspiration for this card.

A Double Decker Greeting Card using the Stampin' Up! Darling Details Stamp Set

The basecard for today's card is  a 5-1/2 X 8-1/2' Thick Basic White Cardstock, scored at 2-1/8, and 4-1/4 along the long side .  Then, on the sample above, I dry embossed two 1-7/8 X 5-1/4" Basic White Cardstock panels using the Crosshatch 3D Embossing Folder from the three pack of 3D Basic Embossing Folders from the Online Exclusives.  On the second sample, below,  I used the Metal Plate 3D Embossing Folder.  On the right panel, I added a 4" X 5-1/4" print from the Flowers & More Host 12" X 12" Designer Series Paper Pack.

Greeting card with a pop out middle deck using Stampin' Up! Darling Details

Once the base card was finished, I created the middle deck pop out mechanism for the inside of the card.  To make this pop out mechanism, I cut a Basic White piece of Cardstock that was 3" X 2-1/4", and scored it along the long side at 3/4", 1-1/2" and 2-1/4".  Next, I used my Bone Folder to crease the folds of the pop out mechanism.  I added Tear & Tape Adhesive to the two outer panels of the pop up mechanism, then positioned the opening along the fold line of the back panel, removed the Tear & Tape Adhesive backing, and stuck the two edges to the back and middle panels.   I then added Tear & Tape to the mechanism panel facing up.  and added the 3" X 4-1/2" Basic White Cardstock Panel that forms the middle deck of the pop out mechanism, carefully lining up the Basic White middle deck layer with your back panel so it creates an even border around the middle deck layer.  Remove the adhesive tape backing and press your middle deck onto the pop out mechanism. You'll want to leave a very small gap instead of butting the Basic white deck, so the mechanism has room to move. My previous Double Decker Pop Out Card included a better photo of the position of the middle Deck on the pop out mechanism.

Floral greeting card using Stampin' Up! darling Details Stamp Set

To create the top deck, I matted at 2-3/4 X 3-3/4" Basic White panel with a 3" X 4" Sweet Sorbet Cardstock matte.  I stamped a sentiment in Sweet Sorbet from the Darling Details Stamp Set towards the bottom right of the card.  Then I stamped the florals on the card.  I stamped off Sweet Sorbet ink on the inner portion of the florals, and then used full strength Sweet Sorbet ink to stamp the outline of the florals.  I stamped the stems and leaves using Granny Apple Green Ink.  Then,  I used Tear & Tape Adhesive along the left edge of the top deck layer to attach it to the card front, leaving the right size loose.  Position your top deck layer over your second deck layer before adhering, leaving an even boarder around the top deck. (See photo of closed card).   To finish my card, I added three Melon Mambo Opaque Adhesive-Backed Gems to my card front.  Once you begin creating these Double Decker cards, you'll find they go together quickly and you'll enjoy the "wow" factor when your loved one opens this card.
