Stampin' Up! Birds of a Feather Stamp Set

Why are these Christmas birds so cute?  I can't stop myself from using the Birds of a Feather stamp set!  Today I've paired it with paper from the Let It Snow Specialty Designer Series Paper pack.  This is one of those paper you just have to touch.  The trees in the print I used today have 3-dimensional icing on them!  I grabbed my Holiday catalog to reread the description of this paper and found Stampin' Up! indeed described the wonderful little surprise in this package of duel-purpose paper...and I completely missed it.  One side of these papers have winter themes with glittery images, and the other side has basic patterns for year-round use!  How great is that for stretching your crafting dollar!

The basecard for this card is Coastal Cabana.  Then a layer of Flirty Flamingo.  Then a print from the Let It Snow Specialty Designer Series Paper.

I  stamped  three of the Christmas Bird from Birds of a Feather stamp set using Tuxedo Black Memento ink, colored the birds with Blends Markers, and hand cut them (fussy cut them) and popped them up on Dimensionals.  The mini Dimensionals really came in handy for the smaller shapes on the birds.

I stamped one of the sentiments from the Birds of a Feather set on Whisper White using Coastal Cabana and Flirty Flamingo ink.  One one version, I omitted the bottom line of the sentiment to show the versatility of this set.  Each end of the sentiment includes a small Glitter Enamel Dots.  On one card I used Coastal Cabana.  On the other I used Melon Mambo

You'll find so many creative ways to use the  Birds of a Feather set, as it includes birds for Thanksgiving, Halloween, Christmas and Valentines (or Anniversary).    You'll love everything you make with this stamp set.

Get Ready for Halloween

Today's blog post is devoted to the wonderful Pumpkin Pie Orange and Basic Black projects you can make with the Holiday Catalog Halloween Products plus the finishing touch of September Paper Pumpkin Kits full of treat holders to delight your tiny visitors on Halloween eve.  Below are some of the fun projects you can create using papers, dies cuts, and stamps you probably already have on your wish list.  However, with Halloween just over a month away, now is a great time to order your favorites so you have plenty of time to create goodies your trick or treaters will enjoy.

These are a few of the Halloween projects you can create with items from the Stampin' Up! Holiday catalog.

Use the Monster Bash Designer Series Papers and the coordinating Spooktacular Bash Stamp set to create spooky Halloween cards to send your family and friends.  The middle card above uses a stamp from the the Birds of a Feather Stamp Set.   The card on the left uses the Cat Punch.  And the card on the right uses the Ornate Frames Dies to cut out images from the Monster Bash Designer Series Papers.

Above you find the Coffin Treat Box.  Before assembly, the cover of the coffin is dry embossed with the Stylish Scroll Embossing Folder.  The two treat boxes are made with the Mini Curvy Keepsake Dies and the stitched labels are included with the die set.  The dies take a 6 X 6 section of paper to make, and can be put together without glue or tape.

The two treat boxes above are from the September Paper Pumpkin Kit.  If you are already a Paper Pumpkin subscriber, you can purchase more kits or the refills if you need more than the 20 food-safe treat boxes that come in the kit. If you don't subscribe to Paper Pumpkin, contact me directly to place an order for you.  Paper Pumpkin kits are available while they last.
