Sneak Peek Valentine Card using Two new Stampin' Up! Stamp Sets

  • Stampin' Up! Valentine Keepsakes Stamp Set
  • Stampin' Up! Forever & Always Stamp Set
  • Get ready for some fun with  Hey Birthday Chick!

We're less than a week away from seeing the entire new Stampin' Up! January-June 2021 Mini Catalog.  Today I'm showing two of the new stamp sets from the catalog:  Valentine Keepsakes and Forever & Always Stamp Set, that I used to create this simple Valentine card.  I created a watercolor wash background, and then stamped the heart flowers and the sentiments in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink.  I added a Magenta Madness bow and a few Frosted Epoxy Droplets, and the card was finished.  You'll love creating your Valentine cards with personalized greetings for your special friends and family members using these two new sets.  Add a sticky note to pages 13 and 16 of your Stampin' Up! January-June 2021 Mini catalog to remind yourself to order these sets on 5 January 2021.

Valentine flowers with Love You sentiment on a Valentine Card

The card above uses a basecard of Magenta Madness.  Then a layer of Basic Black.  The image layer is Whisper White.  I cut a Rectangle using the Rectangle Stitched Dies to use as a matt and created a watercolor wash on the inner portion of the Whisper White cardstock.  I used the Water Painters to first lay down a light layer of water.  Then I used four different color ink pads to layer on colors:  I used Poppy Parade, Magenta Madness, Rococo Rose and Blushing Bride inks.

I used my heat tool to help dry the water color area quickly.  Then I stamped my images and sentiments in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink using the heart flower images from the Valentine Keepsakes Stamp Set.  I selected the sentiments from the Forever & Always Stamp Set.

Then, to finish the card, I created a bow out of the Magenta Madness 2020-2022 In Color Ribbon and added it off center.  You'll notice that you also have a stamp in the Valentine Keepsakes set that will stamp a bow image for your card instead of using a ribbon.  This is a great alternative if you don't want the bulk of a bow when mailing your cards.    I also added three Frosted Epoxy Droplet to the card front for a little more interest.

Eye-popping print from the Sale-A-Bration Flower & Field Designer Series Paper

  • Sale-A-Bration Free Selection Flower & Field Designer Series Paper
  • Stampin' Up! January 2021 Dragonfly Garden, Heal Your Heart Stamp Sets
  • Get ready for Hey Birthday Chick!

I'm showcasing another print from the Flower & Field Designer Series Paper pack today.  This Designer Series paper is a Free Sale-A-Bration selection that demonstrators can order as select as one of their gifts with their pre-order this month, and customers can select as a free gift with a $50 USD order beginning January 5.  I'm showing it with two different sentiments, both new stamp sets from the upcoming January Catalog catalogs.  One is from the Dragonfly Garden Stamp Set and the other sentiment is a free Sale-A-Bration selection called Heal Your Heart Stamp Set.  I used die cuts from the Forever Flourishing Dies to add additional interest...okay, a bit of drama... to this card, along with a very bright Crushed Curry Cardstock.  I tend to like more muted tones for my card creations, but this print seemed to call for brighter colors.  What colors will you use with the Flower & Field print?

The card above uses a basecard of Crushed Curry Cardstock.  Then a layer of one of the prints from the Flower & Field Designer Series Paper, matted with Old Olive cardstock.  Then I die cut several florals using the Forever Flourishing Dies on Basic Black Cardstock.

Floral Birthday Card using Dragonfly Garden Stamp set

The sentiment labels were die cut from Crushed Curry using one of the Dies from Hippo & Friends Dies.  To create the mat, I took the die I used to create the Crushed Curry label and turned it over and traced the outside of the die onto Old Olive Cardstock.  It created the perfect mat for the sentiment label.   I colored a few Metallic Pearls using Basic Black Stampin' Blends, and added them the the corners of the sentiment.

The sentiments are from two of the new stamp sets.  One is from Dragonfly Garden, a new stamp set from the January-June 2021 Mini Catalog.  The other sentiment is from one of the Free Sale-A-Bration selections coming January 5, called Heal Your Heart Stamp Set.  The black ribbon is a retired ribbon that I had in my stash.
