Vertical Greetings

  • Vertical Greetings
  • Popcorn Box Die
  • Holiday catalog is only a month away

No more boring horizontal sentiments

Some days you just don't want to face the same ol' same ol' stuff.  The Vertical Greetings stamp set is a perfect change of pace.  Here's a quick card I made (casing the catalog) for my dear husband to use after his trip home to Boston to see family.

I'm going to make a bunch more.  The set has three images, including one that will carry you through to Valentine's day.  The new enamel pieces add so much interest, you're going to want to get them to match all your card stock colors.  Or start with the In Colors, since you're likely using the In Colors more than any other at the moment.

Stamps: Vertical Greetings
Ink: Sweet Sugarplum, Cucumber Crush
Paper:  Thick Whisper White, Sweet Sugarplum
Accessories and tools: 2016-2018 IN Color Enamel Shapes

Wonderful tools for banner making

  • Banners for Birthday
  • Layered Letters Alphabet

Beautiful Banners

This is the first time I've used these stamp sets! It is a Banner set and an alphabet set (Layered Letters Alphabet) that really works well together.

Create Banners with Layered Letters Alphabet and Beautiful Banners

I'm going to make a bunch more, but I wanted to show you what it looks like so your imagination can begin working on how you would use this set.

Layered Letters Alphabet and Beautiful Banners

I've seen these kinds of banners on Etsy and was so excited to be able to make my own. I can't wait to try it in all different colors and I can't wait to try this with embossed backgrounds and backed with colored cardstock.  One tip.  I actually found that I like the alphabet better when I stamped each letter twice.  You can do that with the photopolymer stamp sets because you can see through the stamp to position it exactly on top of the first stamp.

Flamingo Thank You card

  • Flamingo from Pop of Paradise
  • Bonus Month has begun!

Flamingo love

This is the first time I've used this stamp set -- actually both of these stamp sets.  Pop of Paradise set and the Grateful Bunch with the matching Blossom Bunch Punch.    I also used the Swirly Scribbles Thinlets, but it barely shows in the photo as it is white on white.  I was really pleased with how this turned out!

Pop of Paradise.  Click for larger image

The flamingo was stamped with Melon Mambo and cut out by hand and popped up on dimensionals.  The flowers were also stamped with Melon Mambo and then punched out with the Blossom Bunch Punch.  I was so happy to see this flower set carried over from the Spring catalog.  I think it works really well with the Swirly Scribbles and Pop of Paradise set.  The "thank-you" banner was also cut by hand and popped up on Dimensionals.

Recipe:

Stamps: Pop of Paradise (141581 (Clear)), Grateful Bunch (140691)
Ink: Melon Mambo, Archival Basic Black
Paper:  Whisper White, Thick Whisper White
Accessories and tools: Blossom Bunch Punch, Swirly Scribbles Thinlits, Rhinestone Basic Jewels (119246) Big Shot Die Cutting Machine, Standard cutting pads, New Big Shot Platform, Precison Base Plate, Die Brush and foam Pad

Bonus Month

  • May Flowers Framelit
  • Bonus Month

Mint Macaron and May Flowers Framelit

I've showcased the new Mayflower Framelit one one of the cards in an earlier post, and I'm using another piece from that framelit set today to make the flower on this card.

See full Falling Flowers card below

Mint Macaron is one of my favorite Stampin' Up! colors, and I was so pleased to see the Blooms and Bliss Designer Series paper from the June catalog coordinates with this delicious card stock.  I'm also loving the Falling Flowers stamp set, which coordinates with the May Flowers Framelits.  I used the framelit to cut  two of the same flower and layered them together, although they were wonderful as a single flower.  My only regret is that the card doesn't photograph nearly as well as the card in real life.  This is one of those cards you need to see in person to appreciate it.

I made this in a landscape version and also used another version in a portrait size with the other side of this Blooms and Bliss Designer Series Paper for an upcoming swap.

I think Stampin' Up! has done a remarkable job this year providing us with so many beautiful, delicate dies to work with our stamp sets.  It is easy to put together cards that will wow your recipients with your thoughtfulness and creative skills.

Happy 4th of July

  • Swirl Scribbles Thinlit Flag

A 4th of July flag with Swirl Scribbles Thinlit

Got to play in my craft room today and made this flag card with the Swirly Scribbles thinlit die cuts from this thinlit set.  Can't wait to make a card series out of the matching Swirly Bird stamp set.

I made this in a 5 X 7 size so that it would fit into a frame.  Below is the finished image in a white frame.  The stars are made with a small Itty Bitty Accent Punch Pack which is retired.  There is a large Rhinestone in the center of each star.

I think this is one of the most versatile dies sets from the new catalog.  There are so many ways to use this stamp set and I'll show you more samples using this thinlit and the matching stamp set.

Recipe:

Stamps: None
Ink: None
Paper: Real Red, Night of Navy, Whisper White, Smoky Slate (stars)
Accessories and tools: Swirly Scribbles Thinlits, (141497), Big Shot Die Cutting Machine, Standard Cutting Pad, Thin Die adapter, Rhinestones Basic Jewels.

Happy 4th of July.

Floral Boutique with Flourishing Phrases

  • Floral Boutique
  • $35 in extra rewards on a $350 order ends June 30
  • Sign up as a demonstrator and earn 2 free stamps

Floral Boutique card set

Today I'm casing a set of cards I saw on a Facebook site for demonstrators preparing for their new catalog open houses.  I know it was a German demonstrator, but I've searched the site several times and can no longer find the site to give attribution to the original creator.  I have made some changes to make them my own.

Flourishing Phrases (141531) and Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper (141663)

I think this is one of the most versatile sets from the new catalog.  There are so many ways to use this stamp set, along with the Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper, and the coordinating Flourish Thinlit Dies.  This is the second set of cards I've made with this set and matching die set.  Check out my earlier Flourishing Phases and coordinating Flourish Thinlit set.   Here a look at the set of 4 cards, but I'm not done.  I'll be working on more items with this coordinated set and the matching dies.

Flourishing Phrases, Coordinating DSP and the Flourish Thinlit Die.  Click for larger image.

Each card was quick and easy and I think these cards would be a great card set to give as a gift or to keep an use.

Here's a close up of each card:

Floral Boutique Design Series Paper coordinates with Night of Navy card stock.

This card also used the Layering Circles Framelits along with the stamps from the Flourishing Phrases set. The sentiment is also from this set.

May Flowers Framelit (140276)

This card includes a large flower from the May Flowers Framelit, which gives the flower from Flourishing Phases a much larger footprint and adds a lot of interest.  The sentiment uses the new Layering Ovals Framelit.  Both the Layering Circles and the Layering Ovals include scalloped and straight shapes.

Flourishing Phrases image and sentiment.

This card, like all of the cards in this set, is stamped in Night of Navy and Night of Navy card stock is used to frame the DSP.

This background is another pattern in the Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper

This is such a functional set!  The set of sentiments included makes this a very useful set.  This is one of the more expensive stamp sets in the catalog.  If you're wish list is over $99, consider joining as a demonstrator before June 30 and choose this stamp set as one of two Free stamp set you can select if you decide to purchase a starter kit.  See more details below.

Recipe:

  • Stamps:  Flourishing Phrases
  • Ink:  Night of Navy
  • Paper: Thick Whisper White, Night of Navy, Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper
  • Accessories and tools:  May Flowers Framelits (14026), Layering Circle Framelits (141705), Layering Ovals Framelits (141706), 5/8" Organza Ribbon (114319)

I've said this before; I'm not done playing with this set. I still have several more color combinations to try. What color combinations will you try?
