Avant Garden Thank You

Since I still had Daffodil Delight and Basic Black cardstock out from the card I made for yesterday's post, today, I decided to do another card with the same color combination using the free Sale-A-Bration stamp selections, Avant Garden and the free So Very Much set.  I've seen so many cute cards with these sets, but until today, I haven't had time to play with them.

I used Old Olive for the leaves and stems, but I stamped off before adding them to the card.  The Daffodil Delight is full strength.  The flower centers are stamped in Soft Suede, stamped off.  Thank you is stamped in Basic Black.

I think I'm going to be using these sets a lot more.  In fact, I quickly duplicated the card 6 more times while I had these sets out.   I can always use Thank-You card!

I also stamped the envelopes while I had all the colors out on my work surface.  I think it adds such an additional personal touch when the envelopes are coordinated with the cards.  Both stamp sets include several sentiments perfect for the inside of the card.

I laughed when I realized that for the first time in a long time I made a card without a single die cut and without a ribbon! And I really liked it!   Either of these sets are great selections for your free gifts with a $50 order.

Recipe:

Stamp:  Avant Garden, So Very Much
Ink:  Basic Black, Old Olive, Soft Suede, Daffodil Delight
Paper: Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, Basic Black.

Sale-A-Bration promotion countdown

Seven days remain if you want to take advantage of the Sale-A-Bration promotions or special demonstrator sign up promotion.  Popular Sale-A-Bration selections have already been depleted, as the Sale-A-Bration promotion nears its end.  The card tins and the 6 X 6 Glimmer Paper are gone.  However, there are still many cute selections you can order free with each $50 you order.  Stampin' Up! announced three waves of free selections you can get with each $50 to ensure you'll find something you'll love.  See the web post I sent earlier with the listing of these latest selections.

Here's the deal.  Until March 31, you'll get so much more for your money, you'll be terribly sad when you realize what you could have ordered and saved by placing your order during Sale-A-Bration.

Place an order, and for every $50 you spend, you'll get a free Sale-A-Bration selection.

If your order is over $99, you'll get a lot more for your money by signing up as a Stampin' Up! demonstrator.

For instance, if you had an order for $200, you can probably get the whole order for $99 plus tax.  Why?  Because you get to pick the contents of your demonstrator starter kit, which means you can turn your order into a demonstrator start kit and get a major discount on the order you had planned to place anyway.

During Sale-A-Bration, you get to pick $125 worth of merchandise for your $99.  Plus, your kit ships free, you get to pick 2 free stamps, and you get a free Paper Pumpkin kit, which is worth another $20.  Who wouldn't want to get up to $245 worth of Stampin' Up! product for $99 plus tax (and save more with free shipping!)

Your future orders are 20-25% off.  When the new catalog comes out in June, you know you'll use this discount to get the new In Colors and new stamps and dies you're sure to want.  You can be a hobby demonstrator with no requirement to sell -- just enjoy your hobby demonstrator discount.  You can drop at any time with no penalty.  You can sign up again if you've previously been a demonstrator.

After March 31?  Sale-A-Bration promotion is over.  These discounts and free selections go away.  Gone.  You'll pay full price when the new catalog comes out in June.  It will be another year before you can take advantage of Stampin' Up!'s best promotion of the year!    Take a look at the details for becoming a demonstrator and join my team!

    Basket of Daffodil card

    • Daffodil Delight Basket Bunch
    • Final 8 days of Sale-A-Bration promotion
    • Check your mailing status

    Basket of Daffodils

Today I got out Basket Bunch and matching Basket Builder Framelits Dies again to make a general purpose greeting card.  I decided to use Daffodil Delight with a Basic Black accent.

Each time you put together the basket, it turns out different.  You can see that each card has just a little different arrangement of flowers.  This is basically an Easter set, but it includes sentiments and elements that make it a perfect for making general Spring cards.

The grass is Old Olive and the basket is Chocolate Chip backed with Crumb cake. Both are cut using the Basket Builder Framelit Dies.

Tip:  On the first card on the left, I mounted all of the elements on a small rectangle piece of Whisper White before I added it to the basket.  It seemed to make it easier to "arrange" the flowers and sprigs of leaves.  On the second card, I attached flowers and leaves directly to the back of the basket and found it a little more difficult to "arrange" the flowers.  I recommend mounting flowers on a circle or oval before mounting them to the basket.

    Recipe:

    Stamp: Basket Bunch
    Ink:  Basic Black
Paper: Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Chocolate Chip, Crumb Cake, Basic Black.
Accessories:  Basket Builder Framelit Dies, Big Shot, Big Shot Platform, Big Shot Cutting Pads,  Precision Base Plate, Big Shot Die Brush, Stampin' Scrub, Stampin' Mist, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Dimensionals

    Price: $110.00

Background with Rich Razzleberry Ombre Stamp Pad

      • What's up, Ombre?
      • Third wave of Sale-A-Bration selections announced
      • Card and Tin Class - March 26

      Stampin' Up! Ombre Stampin' Pad

Today I played with my Rich Razzleberry Ombre Stampin' Pad.  I was able to make this background on Whisper White Cardstock simply by dragging the pad across the paper.  I tried it lighter, but found that I liked the darker coverage better.  Stampin' Up! also makes these pads in Bermuda Bay and Calypso Coral in the main catalog and a Peekaboo Peach Ombre Stampin' Pad in the Occasions catalog.

I added a Sunde using the frozen Treats Framelits and the sentiment is from the Cool Treats set.  I love the little cherry for the top of the Sunday.  I covered the "hot fudge" with Wink of Stella to give it the shine of real hot fudge.

The background is a little out of my comfort zone, but I've had the Rich Razzleberry Ombre stampin' pad sitting in my stamp pad tray for a while and thought it was time to give it a try.  I'm not itotally loving this look, but it is a new technique for me and I know I'll be trying some other ideas now that I've broken it open.

      Recipe:

      Stamp: Cool Treats,
Ink:  Basic Black, Rich Razzleberry, Whisper White, Sweet Sugarplum
Paper: Whisper White, Peekaboo Peach, Sweet Sugarplum, Pool Party, Basic Black, Real Red, Tasty Treats Specialty Designer Paper
Accessories:  Frozen Treats Framelit Dies, 2016-2018 In Color Enamel Shapes, Stitched Shapes Framelit Dies, Big Shot, Big Shot Platform, Big Shot Cutting Pads,  Stampin' Scrub, Stampin' Mist, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Dimensionals
