Stampin' Up Daisy Delight Sneak Peek

  • Daisy Sneak Peek
  • Clarification on retiring bundles

Delightful Daisy Sneak Peek

Today I'm playing with one of the new stamps and papers form the 2017-2018 soon-to-be-released catalog (June 1) to customers.  I've seen many samples of this set that have focused on the soft colors in this new Designer paper, but I wanted to pik up some of the brighter colors.  I'm using Daffodil Delight and Calypso Coral with the new Delightful Daisy Designer Series Paper.

I stamped the new Daisy Delight flower on Daffodil Delight cardstock twice and then punched them out with the new Daisy punch and offset and layered the two daises together.  The Thank you sentiment is also part of this set.  It is stamped in Calypso Coral  on one card and in Old Olive on another.  Also,  ...for your kindness, is part of this  stamp set,

I wanted to see how some of the new embellishments looked on the cards.  On the cards below, I added a new Gold Faceted Gem to the flower center.  To the card on the right I added the largest size and brightest new Glitter Enamel Dots.  The stamp set also has a center stamp image that can be stamped in the same color as the rest of the daisy or another color.  I'm going to try a White daisy with a center stamped with a Daffodil Delight for another card.  The stamp set includes leaves and stems that would look nice added to plain cardstock.

I think this is going to be a very popular se, and its not too early to start adding items to your wish list from the new catalog coming out June 1.  Want to receive your new catalog?    If you've purchased form me in the past year, you'll receive your new catalog in the mail to your address on file in late May.  Haven't order from me before?  Place a $25 order between now and April 27 and you'll be added to my new catalog mailing list.

Retiring list Questions

There have been some questions about the the bundles retiring.  While all of the bundles you can buy at discount will retire May 31, you will still be able to purchase many of the stamp sets and matching dies in the June 1 catalog.  However, you will not be able to buy them as a bundle with a 10% savings.

Check out the on-line store to see the items retiring.  Some are on sale up to 50% off.  As accessories sell out, they will no longer be available.  However, retiring stamps will be restocked until May 22 and then sold only while they last.  See the products retiring May 31.

Here's the Stampin' Up! link to download the U.S. Retiring list with catalog page numbers.

This is your opportunity to pick up that stamp set you've had on your wish list or the reinkers you'll need for the In Colors that will retire.  It is also your opportunity to buy any bundles that are not retiring.  After June 1, these bundles can still be purchased as individual items, but without the 10% savings if you purchase them today.

Stampin' Up! Bookcase Builder Stamp Set

  • Bookcase Builder from Occasions catalog
  • We're making Spring cards in the Apr 23 class

Bookcase Builder Stamp set

I've had this stamp for a while and I've been hesitant to use it.  Not any more!  It was so much fun picking out which elements to use on my bookcase shelves.  There are many more that I didn't use, and I'm sure I'll be using the set a lot more now that I've gotten over my initial hesitation.

With Stampin' Up!'s coordinated colors, I was able to combine several colors for an interesting combination of elements.  I used Macaron Mint, and Emerald Envy, complimented with Soft Suede and Delightful Dijon and I also used Smoky Slate as a neutral on the Very Vanilla card stock.

The sentiment is from the Love and Affection stamp set.  It is stamped in Emerald Envy on a Very Vanilla hand-cut tag with a matching tag in Delightful Dijon as a matt.  The sentiment also includes a small enamel heart.

The rest of the elements in this stamp set means it is perfect for everything from baby cards, to a card for your favorite hunter cards.  What elements would you use to build your bookcase?  This set is from the Occasions catalog and is is NOT retiring.

Recipe:

Stamp:  Bookcase Builder, Love & Affection (sentiment)
Ink:  Soft Suede, Mint Macaron, Delightful Dijon, Emerald Envy,Smoky Slate
Paper:  Very Vanilla, Delightful Dijon, Serene Scenery Designer Paper Pack ( 6 X 6" pad)
Accessories:    Banner Framelits, Standard Cutting Mats, In Color Enamels (heart), Big Shot Precision Plate, Big Shot, Stampin' Scrub, Stampin' Mist, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Dimensionals

Stampin' Up! Country Livin' stamp set

  • Country Livin'
  • April 23 Class filling fast

Masculine card using Country Livin'

One of the cards we'll make during the April 23 card class is this masculine card using the Country Livin' stamp set.  I love all of the different sentiments we have available to us in the Stampin' Up! line. As we're getting close to Father's Day and with special birthdays for the wonderful men in our lives happening anytime, I created a card that could be used for multiple purpose.

I chose the Best Dad Ever sentiment from the Everyday Tags sentiment set in the Occasions catalog.  It worked really well on this card  below, in portrait format.

I changed the format from portrait to landscape and choose another masculine sentiment -- Best. Guy. Ever.-- from the Suite Sentiment's stamp set, which is also from the Occasions catalog.

The rest of the card is the same except for the orientation and the sentiments.  I used Marina Mist as the accent color.  After stamping the boots, I masked them, cut a second mask to use to stamp the wood grain background in Night of Navy using the Hardwood stamp set behind the boots.  Then I used daubers with Marina mist to color the wood grain.  I removed the mask from the boots and painted them with Soft Suede with an aqua painter.  The speckles are stamped in Marina Mist using the Gorgeous Grunge set.   The sentiment on the banner is stamped in Chocolate Chip.  The Best Dad Ever is stamped in Marina Mist.  You choose which color sentiment works best on your card.

You can make either version to have on hand for upcoming birthdays, thank yous, or Father's Day-- whenever you need a masculine card.

Recipe:

Stamp:  Country Livin', Gorgeous Grunge, Hardwood
Ink:  Night of Navy, Marina Mist, Chocolate Chip, Soft Suede
Paper:  Thick Whisper White, Whisper White, Marina Mist
Accessories:    Banner Framelits, Standard Cutting Mats, Big Shot Precision Plate, Big Shot, Stampin' Scrub, Stampin' Mist, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Dimensionals
