Cheers to the Year

  • Closing in on Year End
  • Cheers to the Year Suite
  • Stamparatus pre-orders open until December 30, 2017

Year of Cheer

Today's card came together rather quickly and is timed perfectly for you to create your own year end cards.  For years I worked in Marketing with late November/early December filled with deadlines and long hours getting kick-off events and trade shows planned for early January.  Years where I was too busy to send Christmas Cards, I used New Years cards to wish friends and family holiday cheer.

It finally turned cold in Houston, so shiny tinsel and silver paper seemed appropriate to use today.  From the Year of Cheer Suite, here's an idea.

The basecard for today's card is Thick Whisper White, then a layer of Silver Foil sheet.  The Year of Cheer Specialty Designer Series Paper includes gold and silver highlights.

The sentiment is from Cheers to the Year, also part of the Year of Cheer Suite.  Its stamped with Versamark and then embossed with Silver embossing powder.

The numbers were die cut using the Large Numbers Framelits.

Final pre-order Reservation window for Stamparatus stamp positioning tool

  • Pre-Order a Stamparatus stamp positioning tool today
  • Reservation Window to order is now until December 30, 2017

Stamparatus:  Best stamp placement tool on the market

Big news from Stampin' Up! The pre-orders from the first Reservation Window was so successful -- it sold out in 10 minutes -- they've made it easier to pre-order by opening up the pre-order window so everyone can place a pre-order between now and December 30 at 11:40 PM (MT).  While the first pre-order window was while supplies last.  For the December reservation window, they are not limiting the maximum reservations they will accept.  If you pre-order before December 30, you'll get one!

Shipping for the December Stamparatus pre-orders will begin March 19, 2018.  The sooner you place your order, the sooner your available-to-ship date after March 19. This is a change from the original three pre-order windows with limited reservations, and now it will make it easier for everyone to pre-order a Stamparatus.  However, after the close of this reservation window on December 30, this will be the final pre-order window and you will not have the opportunity to purchase a Stamparatus until the June 1, 2018, catalog is released

If you've ever stamped a partial stamp image or had trouble lining up a two-step or three-step stamp, you will love this new tool.  It is a must-have to place at the top of your Christmas Wish List.  Ask your honey if you can pick your own present this year.  Tell him or her that he or she won't have to fight the crowds to shop for you!  And, since the Stamparatus won't be billed until it ships, you'll have one less expense in December.

Christmas Card Swaps from Stampin Up! OnStage

  • More Christmas Card Swaps from OnStage
  • Join us for the Dec 3 Merry Patterns Christmas Card Class
  • Watch for December Year-End Sales Event Announcement

Christmas Swaps from OnStage

I'm showing another collection of Christmas Cards that I received as swaps during the Stampin' Up! OnStage event in Salt Lake City.

As I mentioned previously, I participated in both organized and ad hoc swapping with my fellow demonstrators.  We swapped cards in the aisles waiting for events to begin, during lunch at the Convention Center, before and after classes where we saw new products coming out this Spring, and at the hotel.  Stampin' Up! demonstrators love to swap cards!

I was so excited that the cards I received, that I took photos of many of them to show you.  Unfortunately, I wasn't very good about keeping the right card with the envelope showing who created each card.  To make matters worse, I glued many of the cards to my display boards to use in a recent class, obscuring any tags remaining on the back of the cards.  Typically, when I show swap cards, I credit the creator.  Apologies in advance.  I really wanted to share the ideas with you., but I no longer have the names of the creators to add to my post.

We're under embargo, so I can't show you exciting new products coming out in January yet, but I can share with you card swaps using current products you can purchase today!  Be sure to check the Year-End sale, which begins December 1.

I love this collection of cards.  I chose them because they used the Garden Green and Cherry Cobbler cardstock with Winter White and a selection of different Christmas Papers offered in this season's catalogs.

The card above uses the Quilted Christmas 6" X 6" Designer Series Paper  and the 1/4" Quilted Christmas Ribbon.  The small tree and sentiment are from the wonderful Watercolor Christmas stamp set.

This next card uses several items from the Quilted Christmas Suite. It uses the Christmas Quilt stamp set, two patterns from the Quilted Christmas 6" X 6" Designer Series Paper, and one of the Stitched Felt Embellishments.

The card above uses one of the holiday stamps from the Festive Phrases stamp set.  The card uses the Be Merry Designer Series Paper.  and is embellished with Whisper White Silver Trimmed ribbon and a white boarder punched with the Decorative Ribbon Border.

This Christmas card uses the Feeling of Christmas Stamp Set -- a two step stamp set--and the letters were cut using the Large Letters Framelits.  In addition to the Cherry Cobbler cardstock, this card uses the Quilted Christmas 6" X 6" Designer Series Paper.  The card also includes an accent of Mini Tinsel Trim.

The card above uses the Seasonal Lantern Bundle, including the Seasonal Lantern Stamp set and coordinating Lantern Builder Framelits Dies.

Want to order any of the supplies seen in these wonder projects?  Go directly to my Stampin' Up! store.

Watch for the year end sale beginning December 1 to pick up some of these Holiday stamp sets and other wonderful products at year-end discounts.  Supplies are limited.  Be sure to snag your favorite items before they are gone.

Christmas Card Class #4 - December 3, 2017

Seats remain for the December 3 Christmas Card Class #4.  I had several stampers who missed this class on November 19 and asked if I would re-run this class.  So, If you missed this class the first time, or if you want to make a second set of these wonderful cards using Merry Pattern, join us and we'll make these cards together.  This is the fourth of several Christmas Card Classes that I've hosted over the past couple of months leading up to the holidays.  Registration is now for the December 3, 2017 class where we'll make the projects below.

We'll make eight different card designs using a variety of products from the Stampin' Up! Holiday catalog.  This is a great time to get experience with several different holiday products and designs ideas.

Take a closer look at the projects we'll make in the Meetup Photo album for this class, and register for the class while you're vising my Meetup site.  The photo album includes individual photos of each card we'll make.
