Daisy Lane Stamp Set from Stampin' Up!

The number one stamp set purchased this first week of the new Stampin' Up! catalog is Daisy Lane!  This new Stampin' Up! Stamp Set includes two Daisies.  The larger Daisy works with the Daisy Punch, which you probably already have from last year's catalog.  If not, it's in the new catalog as well.  The smaller Daisy in the Daisy Lane Stamp Set works with a new, Medium Daisy Punch, a new punch in this year's catalog.  You can see the new Daisy Lane Bundle on page 5, and then look at page 23 of your new, annual Stamin' Up! catalog for more samples.  Last year, I created many brightly colored flowers using the Daisy Punch.  My first Daisy card this year is a soft, monochromatic card with a lot of texture.  You're going to love creating with this new stamp set and coordinating punches.

Because I chose a monochromatic card, I wanted a lot of texture to give it more warmth.  This card uses vellum for the leaves and the Subtle 3D Embossing folder plus double layers of stamped Daisies.

The basecard on today's card is Sahara Sand.  Then a layer of Whisper White.  Then a layer of Sahara Sand die cut using the Stitched Rectangles and then dry embossed with the 3D Subtle Embossing Folder.  Then I grabbed a stripped Neutrals 6" X 6" Designer Series Paper from the "retired" stack of items I'm decluttering from craft room, and cut a 2" strip that worked perfectly with my card.

For the image area, I stated with a Whisper White label from the Stitched Labels Die.  Then I stamped the large Magnolia from the Good Morning Magnolia Stamp Set in Sahara Sand ink on Vellum cardstock.  I die cut the image using the Magnolia Memory Dies.  I wanted to use the leaves, only, from this image, but using the whole image means the leaves were positioned beautifully for my use.

I then stamped two large daisies in Sahara Sand and two medium Daisies in Sahara Sand on Whisper White cardstock and punched them out using the Daisy Punch and the new Medium Daisy Punch.  I popped up the larger Daisy on Dimensionals and place both Daisies over the Velum layer.

Then I stamped the sentiment on a strip of Whisper White using Sahara Sand Ink  I accented the flower centers and the sentiment with Clear Faceted Gems, which matched the sentiment perfectly.

Be sure to add this popular new stamp set and punch bundle to your shopping list.  You're sure to find lots of inspiration for using this set.

Memorable Mosaic Stamp Set from Stampin' Up!

The Memorable Mosaic Stamp Set is actually overshadowed by the beautiful papers in the Mosaic Mood Specialty Designer Series Paper pack, if that's possible.  The Mosaic Mood Specialty Designer Series Papers include a shimmer to its prints that looks like small mosaic tiles, plus floral imagery and shiny, transparent accents.  These prints are great for using as-is, but the fun is creating cards using images cut from these gorgeous papers.  That's what I did for today's card.  I selected a sheet filled with roses and butterflies and fussy cut several of each, then I selected a background paper from another sheet and a border design for yet a third sheet in this Specialty Designer Series Paper Pack from the new Stampin' Up! catalog, and created these vibrant cards.  Every time I use these papers and the coordinating Memorable Mosaic Stamp Set, I find a different way to use them.  You will too!

There are many different roses to select from, and that means each of your cards will look slightly different depending on the rose, rose buds, and leaves you choose to fussy cut.  Knowing I was going to make cards from several of the elements in these papers, I grabbed my Paper Snips and sat in front of the TV one evening and busied myself cutting these beautiful images, which makes it easy to grab items to try on your cards when you get ready to create.  You could just as easily use these papers as backgrounds without all the fussy cutting.  It's up to you.

The basecard on today's card is Crushed Curry.  Then a layer of Soft Suede.  Then a layer of one of the prints from the Mosaic Mood Specialty Designer Series Paper (149478).  I also added one of the coordinating boarders from one of the other prints in the Mosaic Mood Specialty Designer Series Paper pack.

I selected a couple of fussy cut roses for each card as well as a butterfly, that I had cut earlier, and popped them up on Dimensionals.    I cut a 1" strip of Soft Sued to use as another accent, and I die cut a circle using the Stitched Shapes Dies.  I also used the word "You" from the Well Written Dies and added that before stamping the sentiment.  The sentiment is part of one of the stamps in the Memorable Mosaic Stamp Set.  I used my Stamparatus and Soft Suede Stampin' Write Markers to ink only the position of the stamp's sentiment that I wanted to add to my sentiment layer.  I chose a So Saffron cardstock for my sentiment.

I used added a couple of Gold Faceted Gems to complete the sentiment layer on each card. Take a closer look at the prints in these beautiful Specialty Designer Series Papers.
