Stampin' Up! So Many Stars with Cherry Cobbler Ribbon

  • Stitched Stars Dies and So Many Stars Stamp Set
  • Final two days to order your October Paper Pumpkin

Stampin' Up! So Many Stars

The first thing you're probably going to say about today's card, after going "oohh...ahhh" is that we don't have Cherry Cobbler Ribbon in our current catalogs.  So how does she expect us to make this card?  Well, its true.  We don't have Cherry Cobbler ribbon.  So keep reading and I'll show you how I created the ribbon I wanted to use on this card. I used Cherry Cobbler and Gold foil along with So Many Starts Stamp Set and Stitched Stars Dies.  Now I can't wait to try with same card with Granite Gray with White heat embossed dies and gold foil accents.

The basecard for this card is Cherry Cobbler.  Then the next layer is Gold Foil Sheets.  Then another layer of Cherry Cobbler stamped with stars using the So Many Stars Stamps Sets heat set with Gold Embossing Powder.  Then another smaller layer of Gold Foil Sheets and the Cherry Cobbler cardstock.

Then I die cut several of the stars and elements using the Stitched Stars Dies out of Gold Foil Sheets and added them to the card surface.

Since we have no Cherry Cobbler ribbon, I decided to make my own.  Using a clear block, the 5/8" Petal Pink Organdy Striped Ribbon. and a Cherry Cobbler ink pad, I colored the ribbon before tying it in a bow to use on my card.

You'll find so many creative ways to combine the So Many Stars Bundle from the Stampin' Up! Holiday catalog. I hope this beautiful card will inspire you to make hand-made cards for someone you love. You'll love everything you make with these products.

Inspiration when making cards October 5 - World Card Making Day

  • Stampin' Up! Curls & Swirls Embossing Folder
  • Cards from the heart on World Card Making Day -October 5, 2019
  • Help us send 50,000 cards the week after World Card Making Day

Stampin' Up! Detailed Deer Dies

Today's card highlights how well Stampin' Up! products from across the catalogs work together to create beautiful cards.  That's always been one of the benefits of Stampin' Up! products, but sometimes we forget as its just easier to use product suites with coordinating stamp sets and dies and matching Designer Series Papers.  The card created today, doesn't use any of the new Holiday catalog Designer Series Papers. Yet it certainly is a beautiful! Just grab some of the items you probably already have on hand and make this beautiful card.

The basecard for this card is Thick Whisper White.  Then the next layer on the top 1/3 of the card is a layer of Whisper White dry embossed with the Swirls and Curls Embossing Folder.  A 1/4" strip of Gold Foil Sheet is layered at the bottom of the embossed piece.

Then I die cut a deer using the Detailed Deer Dies from Gold Foil Sheets.  I used two of the snowflakes from the Frosted Frames dies and cut two snowflakes from Gold Glimmer Paper and added them to the card front on either side of the dashing deer.

I tied a Real Red bow out of 3/8" Cotton Ribbon, and used a sentiment from the So Many Stars Stamp Set to create a Real Red sentiment at the bottom of the card.

You'll find so many creative ways to combine the many stamps, dies and embossing folders from both the Stampin' Up! main catalog, and the Stampin' Up! Holiday catalog. I hope this simple, easy card will inspire you to make hand-made cars for someone you love on World Card Making Day, October 5, 2019.  Read more below. You'll love everything you make with these products.

World Card Making Day - October 5, 2019

Card Making Day reminds us that the best gifts come from the heart, and the hands and creativity of the people we love. So set aside some time,  look through my blog for inspirational ideas, and make a few cards for Fall occasions.   You know how much fun it is to receive them on special occasions, birthdays and holidays.  They sit on our mantles, or kitchen counters, and some even get tucked away as special memories. Make your cards, decorate your envelops, find your stamps.

Then, next week, we have a goal to send 50,000 cards during the first annual World Card Sending week.  Watch for an update on October 8 to learn how many cards we send.  Get out your address book and start addressing your envelopes now.  Then, let's make some cards and get them in the mail.  Make someone happy they know you!  Let someone know you care.

If you're a demonstrator, on Saturday, during World Card Making Day, we'll join our DDMs on the Demonstrator Planning Place for "Craft with Us" sessions including project ideas and tips.  If you sign up as a demonstrator before Saturday, you can join us on the Facebook Demonstrator Planning Place during World Card Making Day, and you can also order the new Paper Trimmer as part of your Starter Kit.  Join Stampin' Up! as a demonstrator today and enjoy the fun!
