March Paper Pumpkin Kit Alternative Card

I'm a little late getting into my March Paper Pumpkin Kit this month.  I love making alternative card ideas out of my Paper Pumpkin kits.  The March Paper Pumpkin Kit is such a beautiful kit that it doesn't take much to come up with great ideas for using it.  I did add die cuts using the Christmas Layers Dies, a carry over set from the Holiday catalog.  I also used the Country Floral 3D Embossing Folder to add even more texture to this card.  I can't wait for finish the cards in the March kit, as it includes an extra stamp set giving me even more options to make cards with.  Also, I know I'll receive the April kit in a few days and I'm really looking forward to a new kit that is sure to keep me stamping during the self-quarantine. The new April kit assembly video has already been release.  I've included it below.

The basecard for today's Paper Pumpkin Kit alternative card is Petal Pink.  Then a layer of Grapefruit Grove.  One side of the Grapefruit grow is dry embossed with the Country Floral 3D Embossing Folder.  Then a Copper Foil die cut using the Christmas Layers Dies is layered under a Petal Pink die cut from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.  One of the flower die cuts from the March Paper Pumpkin kit is mounted on Dimensionals and adhered to the front of the Petal Pink label.

I stamped the sentiment from one of the Paper Pumpkin Kit stamp sets in Grapefruit Grove onto a Very Vanilla layer, matted with a piece of Grapefruit Grove.  I die cut additional Copper Foil pieces using the Christmas Layers Dies, and added a 3/8" Very Vanilla Scalloped Lace Trim ribbon down the center of the card.  I love Paper Pumpkin Kits for fast, easy card creations.  They are great for travelling, as well as fun to put together with friends.

Spoiler Alert:  If you want a sneak peek at the April Paper Pumpkin Kit, which will hit your mail box in the next few days, if it hasn't done so already, take a look at the video below.

Bermuda Bay and Flowering Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper Card Idea

  • Stampin' Up! Flowering Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper
  • Stampin' Up! Ornate Frames Dies
  • How can you be the first to get your hands on new In Colors?  May 2020 Paper Pumpkin Kit!

Flowering Foils and Ornate Frames Dies

I wanted to make a quick card today and ended up using of of my favorite color combinations -- Bermuda Bay and Pool Party --and the Flowering Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper.   I had flowers from the Flowering Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper already cut.  I find it relaxing to sit and fussy cut while listening to music or the radio.  Then I created a Layered Leaves 3D Embossed background and used Sponge Daubers to add a bit of Bermuda Bay ink to the flowers in the Flowering Foils Specialty paper.  Add a sentiment and some Clear Epoxy Droplets and finished!!  I love when a card comes together quickly!

The basecard for today's card is Bermuda Bay cardstock.  Then a layer of Pool Party.  Then I dry embossed a piece of Whisper White cardstock using the Layered Leaves 3D Embossing Folder.  It added just the right amount of texture.

Then I used Sponge Daubers and Stampin' Blends Markers to add color to the fussy-cut flowers from the Flowering Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper.  I added just a bit of colors to the leaves using a Light Mint Macaron Stamping Blends Marker.  The sentiment was stamped in Basic Gray and was placed on die cuts from the All Dressed Up Dies and framed with a Bermuda Bay die cut using the Ornate Frames Dies.

Let's keep stampin' as we think of others who would love to know you're thinking of them.  Sending handmade cards is a great way to stay in touch when you can't be with distant loved ones and your cards will be greatly appreciated during these times.
