Stampin' Up! Butterfly Gala Sneak Peek

The cards I'm showing today are a sneak peak of a couple of new products Stampin' Up! will introduce in the Occasion catalog in early January 2019.  Demonstrators who attended Stampin' Up! OnStage event were able to order some of the Occasion catalog items early, and I received my preorder just before I left town for Thanksgiving.  So, I've been anxiously trying to free up my schedule now that I'm back to play with these new items.  Today got away from me, but I found a free hour at the end of the day to create my first cards using the Butterfly Gala stamp set and the Butterfly Beauty Thinlits Dies.

I'm also using one of the new prints from the All My Love Designer Series Paper, another sneak peek at Occasion catalog items.

Butterfly Gala Stamp Set, Butterfly Beautiful Thinlits and All My Love Designer Series Paper

I created two versions of this card.  One is a Thank You card, which we're all likely to need as soon as Hanukkah or Christmas is finished.  The basecard is Berry Burst. Then a layer of Whisper White.  And then a layer of All My Love Designer Series Paper.  Both cards include a bow out of 3/8" Berry Burst Silver Metallic-Edged Ribbon.

The card above includes a sentiment from the Butterfly Gala Stamp Set.  It is stamped in Smoky Slate ink on a Whisper White Oval using the Stitched Shapes Framelit Dies. There are sooooo many different butterflies in the Butterfly Beauty Thinlits Die set.  I selected a couple and die cut them in Silver Glimmer Paper and used on large and one small butterfly to accent the sentiment label.  I also added a couple of  Frosted & Clear Epoxy Droplets from the Holiday catalog.

The sentiment from this card is also from the Butterfly Gala.  The sentiment is punched using the Tailored Tag Punch.   The butterflies, again, are die cut from Silver Glimmer Paper using the Butterfly Beauty Thinlits Dies.  This card also includes a Clear Epoxy Droplet.  Of course, you probably already know that January is also the beginning of Stampin' Up! best sale of the year - Sale-A-bration.  One of the free gifts with $50 order is a 12 X 12 pack of Designer Series Paper with 6 different butterfly prints that compliment the Butterfly Beauty dies.  I'll be showcasing this beautiful paper in upcoming posts.  I love that Stampin' Up! ha coordinated items from the Annual Catalog, the Occasions catalog and the free pick from the Sale-A-Bration brochure.

Stampin' Up! Beautiful Baubles Christmas Card

  • Stampin' Up Beautiful Baubles
  • Swirls & Curls Textured Impressions Embossing Folder
  • Jump start your Holiday Cards.  Join this weekend's class

Stampin' Up! Detailed Baubles Thinlits Dies

I made this card for a swap in September and forgot that I hadn't posted it on my blog.  So, today, when I was busy getting our weekly errands out of the way, I was so happy to uncover this card.  It uses the Beautiful Baubles Stamp set and the Detailed Baubles Thinlits Dies.  Paired with Silver Glimmer paper and Swirls & Curls Embossing folder, its a perfect Holiday card.

The basecard is Thick Whisper White.  Then a layer of Night of Navy, and then another layer of Whisper White. I dry embossed the top half of this Whisper White piece using the Swirls & Curls Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.

The image layer is mounted on a strip of Night of Navy.  The Silver Glimmer paper is punched with a circle punch.  The Detailed Baubles Thinlit Die cut a netting of Night of Navy to cover the Silver Glimmer paper.

Behind the Ornament is another Silver Glimmer Paper element die cut using the Petals & More Thinlits.  I think it adds just the right unifying element to the card.  I backed this die cut with a piece of Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets to make it easier to adhere the piece to the Night of Navy background.

On the top of the ornament, I added a bow of 3/8" Silver-Edged Metallic Ribbon.

The sentiment is from the Beautiful Baubles stamp set.  It's stamped in the lower right corner of the card in Smoky Slate ink.

Take a look at other sets and dies available in the Stampin' Up! Main Catalog and the Holiday Catalog,  Then, order your holiday stamp sets and dies soon so you'll have them in plenty of time to create your handmade holiday cards.
