I love participating in card swaps with other Demonstrators.  I get to see so many ideas for using new stamp sets.  Today I'm sharing two swaps I received from other Demonstrators showing different ways to use the Awesome Otters Stamp Set.  This set is a Free Sale-A-Bration Selection that you can earn with a $50 order (less shipping and tax) until 28 February 2022. Both of these cards show so much detailed craftmanship and bring out the playfulness of these otters.  Other products highlights on these cards include the Hive 3-D Embossing Folder, Layering Diorama dies and the Bark 3-D Embossing Folder.  Full recipes for each card, below. The first card is from Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Becky O'Donnell.  She used a basecard of Pool Party Cardstock.  Then a layer of Basic White Cardstock, and then one of the prints from the Hostess Party Pattern Designer Series Paper.  She then created an image layer out of a layer of Basic White dry embossed with the Hive 3-D Embossing Folder, and matted in a layer of Pool Party.

The Otter image is set on a layer of Pool Party and Basic White Circles die cut using the Layering Circle dies  The Otter image is stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and then colored with alcohol- based Stampin' Blends.  The sentiment she used is also from the Awesome Otters stamp Set.

• Ink: Tuxedo Black Memento, Pool Party Blends, Bermuda Bay Blends, Soft Suede Blends 
• Paper: Basic White, Pool Party, Hostess Party Pattern Designer Series Paper, Vellum Cardstock
• Accessories: Hive 3-D Embossing Folder, Layering Circle Dies, Cut & Emboss Machine, Multipurpose Liquid Glue, Stampin' Seal, Dimensionals

 

The next card is from Stampin' Up! Demonstrator Tammie Pahan.  She began with a basecard of Night of Navy dry embossed with the Bark 3-D Embossing Folder.  She used the Layering Diorama Dies to create layers of Misty Moonlight, and Blends of Light Balmy Blue  and Smokey Slate accents on Basic White Cardstock to create a water-like setting for her Otter. 

 

The hat is colored with Blends of Light Cherry Cobbler, and Dark Mango Melody.  The otter is colored with Smoky Slate.  The sentiment is stamped on a layer of vellum in Night of Navy.

Today I'm featuring another card from a new set from the January-June 2022 Mini Catalog that Launched yesterday. I'm show the Sentiment Swirls from page 56 of the new catalog.  This was one of the Stamp Sets demonstrated during the November Stampin' Up! On Stage@Home Event, and I couldn't wait to get my hands on it.  One of the first things I want to point out is that this set coordinates with two existing punches.  I used the Flowers & Leaves Punch, page 148 of the Annual Catalog, to punch the larger flowers for my card.  It also coordinates with Strawberry Builder Punch to punch the smaller flowers.   I used the Detailed Trio Punch from the Annual Catalog to round the corners on several of my layers. I used Magenta Madness Cardstock to coordinate with the Expressions in Ink 12" X 12" Specialty Designer Series Paper.  I die cut a detailed butterfly from the Brilliant Wings Dies and added a few Gilded Gems to finish this simple card. 

The basecard for this card is Magenta Madness Cardstock.  Then a layer of one of the prints from the Expressions In Ink 12" X 12" Specialty Designer Series Paper.  Then I used a layer of Basic White as the base for my images.  

I stamped the large swirl from Sentimental Swirls Stamp Set in Magenta Madness and then a couple of the small and large flowers in the same color.  I punched several of the larger flowers using the Flowers & Leaves Punch, and then popped them onto Mini Dimensionals before adhering them to the card front.    

  

To add a little interest to the card, I die cut from Gold Foil Sheets a butterfly using the Brilliant Wings Dies.  Then I added Gold Gilded Gems to the centers of a couple of flowers to tie in with the gold in the Expressions In Ink Specialty Designer Series Paper.
