Stampin' Up! Blended Seasons Stamp Set - Limited-Time Offer

  • Check out how this stamp set can be used for every season
  • Bonus Coupon Days during August help you save in September

Stampin' Up! Blended Seasons Stamp Set

I looked at the new Stampin' Up! Blended Seasons Stamp Set and was so happy that this set includes images for every season.  This makes it one of the most versatile stamp set you can purchase. While the images I chose today would look great in spring or summer subtle ink shades, I decide to use the images to create a background for my card and then highlighted one of the images as a focal point using less traditional colors.

The basecard for this card is Crumb Cake.  The next layer is Night of Navy.  Then I created a background layer using another layer of Crumb Cake stamped all over with the flower and leaves images from this stamp set using Night of Navy ink.

I didn't want to cover any of the stamped background, so rather than using the coordinating Stitched Season Framelits Dies, which is solid, I selected a die from the Stained Glass Thinlits dies to let as much of the stamped background show through.  I did use the Stitched Season Framelit Dies to create the leaves tucked under the flower.

The flower focal point flower was stamped in Night of Navy ink on Crumb Cake Cardstock.  Then I fussy-cut the image.  I grabbed an Aqua Painter and my Night of Navy stamp pad and lightly colored the flower image.  Then I popped it up on dimensionals and added it to the card.

The Thank You Sentiment is from the Color Your Season set, one of several sentiments included with this set.  Again, I wanted the background image to show through, so I stamped the sentiment in Night of Navy ink onto a piece of Vellum Cardstock.  To hide the mini glue dots used to secure the vellum, I added two small gold Metallic Pearls.  I'm really pleased with how this turned out.

Here are a few more samples using this versatile stamp set.   If you can't wait for the Holiday catalog coming out September 5 to start your fall and holiday projects, this set and coordinating dies is a great way to get a start now.

Stampin' Up! Serene Garden Bundle and Gorgeous Grape

  • Stampin' Up! Serene Garden
  • Stampin' Up! Garden Grape and Heather Highland
  • Seats available for Sunday afternoon Card Making Class

Stampin' Up! Serene Garden Bundle

Yes, it's another card with the Stampin' Up! Serene Garden stamp set.  I can put it down!  If you love dramatic, artistic cards, you'll love working with this stamp set and coordinating dies.  Today, I paired two new colors with this set -- Gorgeous Grape and Heather Highland.  I just made a bunch of these cards for a card swap, but I couldn't wait to show it to you.  This card uses a technique called Embossed Resist.    Its created by sponging ink over a heat-embossed image.

The basecard for this card is Heather Highland.  Then a layer of Gorgeous Grape.  The image layer is Whisper White.  The leaf images from the Serene Grapefruit Grove is stamped in VersaMark Ink on Whisper White.  Then the VersaMark is covered with White embossing powder and heat embossed with my Heat Tool.  I used a sponge and Gorgeous Grape ink pad and swirled the embossed area, covering the White embossed image.  Use a paper towel or tissue to wipe any ink off the embossed area.   The bird is also White heat embossed on a small piece of Gorgeous Grape.  Then it is die cut using the coordinating Garden Scene Framelit Dies.

The sentiment is from the Itty Bitty Greetings set.  Its stamped in Gorgeous Grape on Whisper White and then die cut using one of the Stitched Labels Framelits.  It is backed with a small piece of Gorgeous Grape cardstock.   The bottom of the card includes a dotted line created by one of the dies in the Stitched Labels Framelit Dies set, adding to the interest of this card.  I love the look of the sponged color on this card.  It looks good enough to eat!  In this heat, I wish I had a grape ice!
