Stampin' Up! Christmas Card fun using Perfectly Plaid Stamp Set -- again

  • Another fun Holiday card using Perfectly Plaid Stamp Set
  • Pine Tree Punch from Stampin' Up! Mini Catalog
  • Holidays are a little sweeter when you order the Jolly Gingerbread November Paper Pumpkin Kit

As soon as I saw the prints in the Classic Christmas 6" X 6" Designer Series Paper coming November 4 with the Curvy Celebration Promotion, I knew I had to make this card using the Perfectly Plaid Stamp Set and the Pine Tree Punch. I used a Cherry Cobbler print with small fir trees.  I layered it with a sentiment layer using one of the beautiful sentiments from the Perfectly Plaid Stamp Set.  I colored the Silver Metallic Edged Ribbon using Cherry cobbler Stampin' Blends, and added a few silver Epoxy Droplets to add a little bling to the card.   This is a fast, fun card it you need to make a large batch of cards for the Holiday...and you'll be able to order all of these items November 4 when the Curvy Celebrations begins.

I stamped the sentiment from the Perfectly Plaid Stamp Set in Cherry Cobbler Ink onto the Whisper White layer.  I found an element from the Christmas Gleaming Stamp Set that I stamped beneath the Merry Christmas sentiment.  Again, I used Cherry Cobbler ink.

I colored a piece of Silver Metallic Edge Ribbon using Cherry Cobbler Stampin' Blends, tied it in a bow and added it to the card front.  I used three of the Silver Clear and Frosted Epoxy Droplets to accent the front of the card.

Create Christmas Cards using Perfectly Plaid Stamp Set and Coordinating Pine Tree Punch

  • Christmas Card using Perfectly Plaid Stamp Set
  • Stampin' Up! Pine Tree Punch
  • Curvy Celebrations early-release products available to customers 4 November 2020

I love when I find a way to use a great card layout from a previous year again with updated papers and colors.  Last October, I created a card similar to today's card, and even included a short history of tartan plaid.  I've loved the plaids in this years Plaid Tidings 6" X 6" Designer Series Paper, part of the Designer Series Paper Sale going on until October 31, 2020.  I selected a Blackberry Bliss Plaid and paired it with the Perfectly Plaid Stamp Set and the Pine Tree Punch.  I'm so happy that the Gold 1/4" Shimmer Ribbon is still available, even though it isn't shown in the current catalogs.  You can order it using item #152156.  I found a curly cue in the World Map Dies that created a perfect accent for this card, especially when paired with the gold Gilded Gems.

The basecard for this Christmas Card is Blackberry Bliss cardstock.  Then a layer of Crumb Cake.  Then a 2" strip of one of the prints from the Plaid tidings 6" X 6" Designer Series Papers.

I die cut the largest Stitched Shapes Circles out of Whisper White.  I also die cut a Crumb Cake oval using the the second to the largest Oval Die from the Stitched Shapes Die, which I stamped using one of the trees from the Perfectly Plaid Stamp Set.  I stamped it in Blackberry Bliss to match the plaid. I punched a tree shape in the center of the whisper White circle and mounted the stamped Crumb Cake tree behind the Christmas Tree opening.   Then I added dimensonals to the back of the Whisper White Circle.

Two Blueberry Bliss Christmas Cards using Perfectly Plaid and Pine Tree Punch

I tied a bow using the Gold 1/4" Shimmer Ribbon and added it to the card front.  I die cut a curly cue out of Gold Foil Sheets using one of the dies from the World Map Dies.  I stamped the Merry Christmas sentiment from the Perfectly Plaid Stamp Set in Black Berry Bliss onto the Crumb Cake potion of the card.  Then I added three medium sized Gilded Gems to the Whisper White Circle.

Stamps and Pine Tree Punch used to create a Christmas Card

Remember, also, that Plaid Tidings 6" X 6" Designer Series Paper is on sale as part of the Designer Series Paper Sale until October 31.  And, I love when a stamp set carries over from one catalog season to the next.  You'll find so many more ideas for using a carry-over set like the Perfectly Plaid Stamp Set and Pine Tree Punch because its been available for a while.  It generally means it was an extremely popular sets, which makes it easy to create with.  You'll love creating cards your family and friends will enjoy with this stamp set and coordinating Punch.
