Combine Specialty Designer Papers from the Symbols of Fortune and Simply Elegant paper for a Simple yet Elegant card

Because Stampin' Up! products coordinate so well, I was able to combine items from the Simply Elegant Suite from the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog with items from the Symbols of Fortune Suite from the January-June 2022 Mini Catalog to create today's simple card.  The idea for the card came from a Christmas Card I received from my Demonstrator friend Carole Cory.  I used Basic Gray and Smoky Slate Cardstock in addition to the two Designer Series Papers.  I fussy cut the crane out of one of the prints from the Symbols of Fortune Designer Series Paper to use on my card front.  Then I added a few gold Gilded Gems to bring more gold accents into the card.  The sentiments are from one of the Free sale-A-Bration Selections, the Special Moments Stamp Set.  This item is free with a $50 order until February 28, 2022.

To create today's card, I used a base card of Basic Gray Cardstock.  Then I cut a layer of one of the prints from the Simply Elegant Specialty Designer Series Paper and matted it in Smoky Slate Cardstock on one side of my card front. 

 

I fussy cut the crane from one of the prints from the Symbols of Fortune 12 X 12" Specialty Designer Series Paper and added it to the card front.  I made two versions of the card  Both used sentiments from the Free Sale-A_Bration selection, the Special Moments Stamp Set, which is a sentiment stamp with 21 different sentiments.  I used gold embossing powder after stamping the sentiments with Versamark ink, and heat set the sentiments using my heat tool. I used one of the Stitched Rectangle Dies to create Basic White sentiment label for the sentiment.  I added 3 Gilded Gems for more gold accents on the card.

The basecard for this card is Fresh Freesia.  Then I used a new print from the Friendly Hello 12" X 12" Designer Series Paper pack, which coordinates with the Friendly Hello Stamp Set.  I next layered two die cuts from the Stitched So Sweetly Die set.  The larger scalloped rectangle is Fresh Freesia and the smaller is Basic White.  

I stamped the double flowers from the Friendly Hello Stamp Set, a free selection during Sale-a-Bration, in Tuxedo Black Memento ink andt hen colored the flowers using a Fresh Freesia Light Blends.  I also used a die cut of stems and flowers from the Word Wishes Dies and cut the image from Fresh Freesia Cardstock.  I added the die cut stem and little flowers images onto the Basic White layer.   

  

For the sentiment, also from the Friendly Hello Stamp Set, I used a smaller scalloped, stitched rectangle from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies and stamped the sentiment in Tuxedo black Ink.  It it matted in a rectangle of Fresh Freesia. I added Matt Black Dots to the corner of the card to finish this simple card.
