Floral Easter Greeting Card layout can work for many other needs

  • Stampin' Up! Dainty Flowers DSP and Brilliant Wings Dies
  • New 2023-2025 In Color
  • Check out the New Core Colors added to the Stampin' Up! Color Families
With a new Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog coming in May, I'm using some of the beautiful products that will be retiring on 1 May 2023.  Today, I'm creating Easter and Spring greeting cards with floral and butterflies, and using some of the free Sale-A-Bration Dainty Flowers Designer Series Paper I earned earlier this year. I'm also using Rick Razzleberry Cardstock, which is retiring and the Old Olive twill ribbon from the Old Olive & Sahara Sand Twill Ribbon Combo Pack, on sale right now on the Last Chance Sale  I'm also using the Framed Florets Stamps and Dies which will be retiring and the Brilliant Wings Dies, which are also retiring. You'll want to check out all of the items on the Last Chance sale as items are up to 60% off.  I love how the background on the Dainty Flowers Designer Series Paper looks like a textured background.  I added different sentiments using the Tailor Make Tag Dies, and I added Brushed Brass Butterflies to the corner of the tag.  I love that you can use any section of this print from the Dainty Flowers Designer Series Paper.  And you can add several sizes of butterflies depending on your floral paper design.  This card layout works for Easter, Spring cards, Birthdays or Friendship cards.  You can make multiples and stamp sentiments on the cards when you get ready to use them.  While I'm sad to see many of these items retiring soon, I just received my hardcopy 2023-2024 Annual Catalog from Stampin' Up! today, and I'm so excited to begin using fun new colors and stamp set from the new collection.

Easter card using Butterflies and oval frames from Stampin' Up!

The basecard for today's card is Thich Basic White Cardstock.  Then a layer of Rich Razzelberry Cardstock layer.  Then a floral print from the Dainty Flowers 12" x 12" Designer Series Paper.

Next, I used the Framed Florets Dies to create an Basic White oval frame, and Brilliant Wings Dies to create Rich Razzelberry Butterflies. I added mini Dimensionals to the Framed Florets Oval frame and to the Butterfly to raise them from the floral print.  The floral print is different on all of three of the cards below, so the butterflies are positioned differently to show off as much of the print as possible.

Floral and butterfly Easter Cards using Stampin' Up! Dies

To finish my card, I  used the Tailor Made Tag Dies to create a sentiment tag.  I used Old Olive ink to stamp sentiments  While we have Easter sentiments in our current Easter Bunny Stamp set, I wanted something with a little more flourish, so I raided my retired stash of stamp sets an used the Suite Sentiments Stamp Set for my Easter cards.  Below, I stamped additional sentiments from additional stamp set.   I used a Spring sentiment from the Sale-A-Bration Thanks a Bunch Stamp Set.  I used a Happy Birthday from the Go To Greeting Stamp Set.  You'll find this card layout lends itself to multiple uses.

For a little bling, I added a couple of Brush Brass Butterflies to the edge of the sentiment label, and a bow of Old Olive Twill from the Old Olive & Sahara Sand Twill Ribbon Combo Pack.  This is a great time to pick up several of these items that are retiring and they are on sale in the Last Chance Sale, which started yesterday, 4 April.  Grab these items before they are gone.

Introducing New 2023-2025 In Colors

Each year Stampin' Up! Adds 5 new In Colors to the color line up that remain in the product line for 2 years. These colors help the Stampin' Up! product line stay on trend. Below are the new 2023-2025 In Colors

These new colors will be available in Cardstock, Stampin' Write Markers, Blends, Stamp Pads and Ink Refills, Designer Series Papers, Ribbons and additional accessories.

New additions to the Stamin' Up! Core colors

Change is constant.  About every 5 years or so Stampin' Up! refreshes the entire product line with new Core colors in addition to the new In Colors.  While In Colors remain the the product line for 2 years, the Core colors remain in the product line until the next major Color revamp.  Some of the Core colors are new to Stampin' Up!.  Other's are returning favorites; many from past In Colors.

Returning Core Colors
These are the Returning Favorites.  Check your stamping Stash as you may have cardstock, Stampin' Write Markers, Stamp pads and reinkers in these returning colors.

New colors added to the Core colors:  There are the new colors we are welcoming to the Stampin' Up! Core Colors.

Fresh New Colors

Take a look at at the video below to see how all these new colors fit together in the new color lineup.  Your new 2023-2023 Annual Catalog will include a complete color chart on pages 122-123.  New catalogs for my customers who have purchased within the past 6 months should begin arriving mid to late April and ordering from the new  2023-2024 Annual Catalog begins 2 May 2023.

Please note:  Stampin' Up! in ink pads and inks refills contain chemicals that change over time, just like those old spices that are tucked into the back of your cupboard.  They are so much better when they are fresh.  For this reason it's best not to use your old pads with new ink refills--or new pads with old refills.  The ink and pads aren't defective, but as time passes, chemical changes may take place which could produce a less than satisfactory result.  In addition, older ink formulas mingled with new ink formulas could result in a sub-standard stamping experience.

What's the takeaway?  Please pair fresh ink pads with fresh ink refills.  Ideally, try to purchase both at the same time, as occasionally even current ink formulas need to be refreshed due to such factors as supplier changes or raw material availability.  We want you to really enjoy these terrific, vibrant colors to the fullest!

Retiring Colors

As part of the new Annual Catalog color refresh, these are the Core Colors that will retire from the Stampin' Up1 product line.   These are 11 Core colors that will no longer be available after 1 May 2023.
