Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog Sneak Peek

I'm using the Stampin' Up All is Bright Designer Series Paper again today.  I've paired it with a new sentiment stamp set called Timeless Tidings Stamp set, another new Holiday set from Stampin' Up! that includes several beautiful sentiments plus a couple of holiday images you'll find useful for making cards, tags, gift bags, and Christmas wrappings.

Raise you hand if your Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog Wish List has grown over the past several days.  Tell me you haven't started looking for more ideas on Pinterest or searched Google for new product ideas.  Yup.  Ideas are being shown all over the web, and if you're like me, you can't get enough of the new ideas for these new stamp set.  Be sure to also watch my web site as I highlight more and more items from the new catalog to help you see ideas for using these new items.  It will help you make your final selection before you're able to order from the new catalog on September 5.

This card again uses the All Is Bright Designer Series Paper.  I've fallen in love with this particular print.  Paired with Mossy Meadow and Pear Pizzazz cardstock, it really pulls the colors from this Designer Series print.    This card also introduces a new Holiday stamp set called Timeless Tidings, which I used for the sentiment on today's card.  It includes several wonderful holiday sentiments and I love the typeface used in this set.

Directions for today's card:

  • Mossy Meadow basecard
  • Next layer is Pear Pizzazz
  • Then the All Is Bright Designer Series Paper.
  • The image layer is a Gold Foil Sheet die cut with the Stitched Label Framelit.  The sentiment is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black.  Then the sentiment is stamped again in Real Red and only the Word Christmas is fussy cut and popped up on Dimensionals on top of the Very Vanilla Oval.
  • The sentiment oval is die cut using one of the ovals from the Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies

  • The bow is the new Real Red 3/8" Mixed Satin Ribbon.  Its an updated twist on a standard grosgrain ribbon.  One half of the ribbon is embossed to look like the grosgrain, the other half is smooth.  Its attached with Glue Dots

Stampin' Up! Sneak Peek with Christmas Traditions Punch Box from the Holiday Catalog

  • Holiday Catalog Christmas Traditions Punch Box
  • Stampin' Up! Bonus Days - Get a $5 coupon for each $50
  • Do you want ink (pads) with your order?

Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog Sneak Peek

Today I'm using another new item from the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog; the Christmas Traditions Punch Box.  I love these punch boxes.  The boxes include a 6 piece stamp set that coordinates with the punch plus two mini ink spots--Call Me Clover and Real Red-- and a clear block.  Start with this punch kit and just add paper.  It's a great kit if you have limited supplies, but want to create Christmas Tags and Cards.  The tin itself includes a traditional holiday scene and its perfect for presenting a gift of home made cookies or candies, or fill it with an assortment of hand made cards as a special Christmas Gift.

I decide to make a small treat box to go with this Holiday card I created in an earlier post.

This card was inspired by the Stampin' Up! All is Bright Designer Series Paper that I used on another sneak peek card I showed last week.

The treat box I made today, is two pieces that are assembled using Tear & Tape.   I've included more photos in an earlier post where I made this box using a punch box from the Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog.

Cutting dimensions:
Long piece:  8-1/2" X 3-1/4".
Shorter piece:  4-7/8" X 4-7/8"

Scoring:
Long 8-1/2" piece:  On long side score at 1/2", 3-1/2", 4-1/2", 7-1/2", using the Simple Scored Scoring Tool

Shorter piece:  Score at 15/16" on all four sides, using the scoring blade on your trimmers

Pinch in the corners of the box and use Tear & Tape to hold the corners to the box.

Use Tear & Tap on the bottom and front and back sides to hold the box created from the 4-7/8"n x 4-7/8" to the wrap-around piece.

To hold the box closed, punch a 1/2" circle and attach it to the font of the box with the one of the new silver brads from the Metallic Brads collection.  Use a Paper Piercer to create a hole through the 1/2" circle and the front of the box through the box layers to insert the silver brad.

The top of the box is decorated with All is bright Designer Series Paper, a Gold Foil die cut from the Stained Glass Thinlits, and a snowflake created with the Blizzard Thinlits Dies.  Then I used the Stitched Shapes Thinlit to punch a square out of Pear Pizzazz, and stamped one of the images from the Christmas Traditions Punch Box onto Whisper White and punched it out using the Punch in the Tin.

  • Then I used the Stitched Shapes thinlit to punch a square out of Pear Pizzazz to layer under the stamped image.
  • I stamped one of the images from the Christmas Traditions Punch Box in Old Olive onto Whisper White, and punched it out with the stamp from the Christmas Traditions Punch Box.
  • Then I added Gold Metallic pearls to the corners of the Gold Foil die cut and the center of the snowflake

  • If your Wish List has grown past the $99 mark, think about signing up as a demonstrator this month or before you place your new catalog order on September 5.  On September 5, you can select $125 in Holiday catalog merchandise for $99 and then place another order at your demonstrator discount for the rest of your holiday catalog wish list.  You can do it all online or contact me and we'll work through your Starter Kit order together.
