Stampin' Up! Beautiful Baubles stamp set and coordinating Dies

  • Stampin' Up! Beautiful Baubles

  • Halloween-themed Paper Pumpkin kit

Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog Beautiful Baubles

Today's card is another example of the wonderful bundles in the Stampin' Up! Holiday catalog.  This bundle includes the Beautiful Baubles stamp set and coordinating dies called, Detailed Baubles Thinlits Dies.  I made the card a couple weeks ago, but wasn't sure if I liked it enough to post it.  After looking at it again today, I decided I really liked it, partly because it isn't traditional Holiday colors.

You're probably looking at the ribbon on this card and flipping through the catalog trying to find the Soft Suede ribbon.  Well, you won't find it.  I created the ribbon from our 3/8" Gold Metallic Edge Ribbon and the Light Soft Suede Blends Marker.  It takes just a moment or two to color this ribbon any color you need, using Blends, which gives you so many options! Be sure to add a roll or two of this ribbon to your next order, along with Blends alcohol-based markers in your favorite colors.

Directions for today's card:
  • Thick Very Vanilla basecard
  • Next layer is Soft Suede
  • The next layer is Very Vanilla dry embossed with the Tufted Embossing Folder
  • The image layers are Soft Suede, Very Vanilla, and Soft Suede
  • For the ornament, I stamped the large bulb image in Crumb Cake and cut it out with a 2-1/4 inch circle punch
  • I backed a piece of Gold Foil Sheet with a Multipurpose adhesive sheet.
  • Using a die from the Detailed Baubles Thinlits Dies set, I die cut the detailed circle ornament out of a Gold Foil sheet and placed it over the detailed stamped ornament image after removing the Multipurpose adhesive sheet backing.
  • The 3/8" Gold Metallic Edged ribbon was colored with Light Soft Suede Blends and then tied in a bow.
  • Loop Linen Thread between the ornament top and the Soft Suede box.  Attach the bow to the card with Mini Glue dots.
  • The sentiment is from the Timeless Tidings stamp set from the Holiday Catalog.  It is stamped in Soft Suede on Very Vanilla strip.

Stampin' Up! Country Home Stamp set

Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog Country Home

Another favorite stamp set from the Stampin' Up! Holiday catalog is the Country Home set.  I used it for a recent card swap and totally enjoyed using my Stamparatus and Blends Markers to create duplicates of this beautiful card.

You can download free copies of the Stampin' Up! Holiday and Annual catalog, at this link.

The Stamparatus stamp positioning tool made creating a large number of cards so much faster than free-hand stampin' each image.  There were also no "mistake" -- half stamped images or sentiments; no misaligned flowers and milk can.   If you haven't invested in a Stamparatus yet, get one before you start your Holiday cards.  You'll be so happy you did!  I made over 55 swap cards in less than a week,  This was one of the card 5 designs I made.  Normally my wrists would require ice and several days of rest after that much stamping.  The Stamparatus made it possible for me to finish 5 different sets of cards in record time, with far less strain on my wrists!  My Stamparatus is one of my best stampin' investments yet!

If you order this stamp set, I also recommend you look at the coordinating Tin Tile Dynamic Textured Impressions Embossing Folder. I used it to dry emboss a piece of Silver Foil Sheet to add an accent along the left edge of my card.  You'll love the stunning results you can create with this embossing folder.  The Holiday catalog also includes several new Blends Marker colors.  You'll want to add  them all to build out your Blends colors collection.

Directions for today's card:
  • Mint Macaron basecard
  • Next layer is a dry embossed section piece of Silver Foil sheet using the Tin Tile embossing folder.
  • The next layer is Cajun Craze.
  • The final layer showcasing the image is Whisper White.
  • The image is stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink
  • The image is colored with Light Smoky Slate Blends, Light & Dark Old Olive Blends, Light Cajun Craze Blends, and Light Crumb Cake Blends

  • The sentiment is also from the Country Home stamp set.  Its stamped in Cajun Craze ink.
  • Three Silver Metallic Pearls were added around the image.

This stamp set includes 8 different sentiments in addition to the lovely images.  You'll find yourself reaching for this set to create cards and packaging over and over for different Fall occasions.  You'll find more ideas for using the entire Country Lane Suite on pages 42-43 in the Stampin' Up! 2018 Holiday Catalog. This was one of the first sets to go on my Holiday Catalog Wish List, and it hasn't disappointed.
