Stampin' Up! Butterfly wishes

I'm so happy that this beautiful stamp set, called Butterfly Wishes, carried over to the new, annual Stampin' Up! catalog from the past catalog.  I love butterflies and this set includes 4 different butterfly stamps, along with 5 sentiments and other images.  Two of the butterflies can be punched out with the Butterfly Duet Punch, making them so easy to add to a card as 3-dimensional elements. I used one butterfly stamp to create the background.  It is Rococo ink stamped off once on Rococo cardstock.  My label on the Love to Celebrate You stamp was crooked when I stamped it on this card.  But here's a tip for you.  You can microwave your stamp for about a minute (depends on your microwave), and your label can be peeled off your red rubber stamp and easily re positioned.  This has save many of my cards from going into the garbage because of crooked images!

The basecard for my card today is Rococo Rose stamped with butterfly images from Butterfly Wishes that have been stamped off once.  Then a layer of Blushing Bride.  And the image layer is Whisper White.

I stamped the sentiment in Rococo Rose ink.  Then I used my Stamparatus for the branch image.  I positioned the stamp on my Stamparatus Plate.  Then I used Pear Pizzazz Stampin' Write Marker to ink the stem and leaves, and a Rococo Rose Stampin' Write Marker to ink the two flowers.  I used the Stamparatus so that if felt any places weren't inked enough, i could add more ink to the location that wasn't dark enough.  Then, I used a sponge dauber and a Pear Pizzazz ink pad to lightly add a shadow of Pear Pizzazz along my branch.  The glitter enamels are a retired item, but they matched so perfectly, I decided to use them.

Card and Envelope stamped with Stampin' Up! Butterfly Wishes

The two small butterflies are also from the Butterfly wishes stamp set.  They were stamped in Rococo Rose ink on Whisper White and punched out using the small butterfly from the Butterfly Duet Punch.  I popped the butterflies up on mini dimensional before adding them to the card front.  Don't forget to stamp your Envelope before putting your stamp sets and ink away.

If you live in the USA and don't have a demonstrator and want a copy of the new Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog, contact me.   I would love to be your Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.

Get the most from your new Stampin' Up Catalog

  • How to get more from the new Annual Catalog
  • Earn Extra rewards with your June new annual catalog order
  • Pick A Free Bundle Starter Kit Promotion

The New Stampin' Up! Annual Catalog

The new 2020-2021 Annual Catalog has been live since last week Wednesday, and I'm sure you've been through the catalog more than once or twice.  I posted a few highlights from the new catalog last Wednesday.

Here are some addition highlights from the new Annual Catalog, and ways to save when placing your new catalog orders.

New In Color Stamp Pads.  You probably saw this two-page spread on pp 142-143 showing all the cardstock, ink pads, ink refills and Blends Marker bundles.  In the bottom right you'll see the new In Colors.  If you're planning to purchase just one or two of the new In Colors, use this page.  However, if you plan to order all 5 new In Colors, see the next photo, below.

Save 10% on In Colors Stampin' Pads.  If you plan to purchase all 5 of the new 2020-2022 In Colors Stampin' Pads, flip to pp 143, where you can save 10% by purchasing the new In Colors as a Bundle using item #154957.  Don't be confused by the photo.  Look for the red "N" for the new 2020-2022 In Colors.  And if you're in the process of building out your stamp pad colors, purchasing your Stampin' Pads in color families will save you 10% over purchasing individual Stampin' Pad colors.

Use In Color Stampin' Write Markers to Color Red Rubber Stamps.  Not ready to purchase all of the In Color stamp pads right away?  Consider purchasing the In Color Stampin' Write Markers Assortment.  You can color your red rubber Cling stamps with Stampin' Write Markers in the new In Colors and stamp images in the new In Colors.    Note the red "N" in front of the 2020-2022 collection.  You'll notice throughout the catalog that any items that are new this year include the red "N" in front of the item description.  You can purchase all 5 of the new In Colors Stampin' write Marker for $15.00.  You can also purchase each of the Stampin Write markers color families as  bundles.

If you're still in the process of building your Stamp Pad collection, you'll find that you can purchase Stampin' Write Marker Assortment in each of the 4 color families and the 5 In Colors for years 2019-2021 and 2020-2022.  Get just what you need.

Classic Stampin' Spot Assortments help you build up your stampin' colors collection.  Another alternative to purchasing full-size stamp pads is to purchase the Stampin' Pads you use most frequently, and then for colors you don't use as often, you might consider purchasing Stampin' Spots.  Of course, eventually you'll want full size stamp pads in all colors, especially with the amazing coverage provided by our current Stampin' Pads.  Stampin' Sports are also convenient when you're going to crops or travelling and don't want to carry all of your Stampin' Pads with you.

Save 10% when purchasing ink refills.  When purchasing ink refills for your stamp pads, you'll  find saving on page 144.  Consider purchasing your ink refills as a bundle by colors families.  You'll save 10% on each family when you purchase this way.  Check out page 144 for Stampin' Ink Refill Bundles.

Use Water Painters to create your own backgrounds.  One additional way to stretch your purchase is by making your own background papers.  Using Water Painters (formerly called Aqua Painters) with your Stampin' Pads or ink refills on cardstock or Fluid 100 Watercolor paper (item #149612, p. 153).  You'll notice that the new Water Painters include one more painter brush size than our former Aqua Painters packages.  Just fill them with water, then dip the brush in ink refills on a clear block or dip them into your Stampin' Pad and create your own striped papers.

A fast way to try the new In Colors when you don't have all of the new In Colors cardstock, inks or designer series papers..  Stampin' Up! has given us a fast, economical way to try the new In Colors when you don't have all of the new In Colors inks and cardstock.  You can create beautiful cards by ordering these next two products.  Order the Flowers For Every Season Memories & More Cards & envelopes and you'll instantly have base cards and matching envelopes in the new In Colors.

To compliments the In Color cards & envelopes above, order the Flowers For Every Season Memories & More Card Pack.  You'll have a wide selection of coordinating prints, accent stickers and sentiments that will make creating beautiful cards using new In Colors a snap!

See samples I've made using these items and a few butterfly die cuts here

Stampin' Seal for assembling your cards.  You'll also want to order some of the new Stamp' Seal to assemble your cards with assurance they will stay together.  Check out the video on Stampin' Seal and Stampin' Seal+ in my earlier post.

You'll find Stampin' Seal and Stampin' Seal+ on page 162 of the new catalog.  You can also order refills for Stampin' Seal so you won't run out at an inconvenient time.

There's plenty to digest in the new Annual Catalog.  If you have questions or comments you can add comments to this post on my blog.  I love hearing your reaction to the new catalog.

Download catalog here if you don't already have a copy.
