Stampin' Up! Ornate Thanks

Some days you want to create intricate, beautiful cards with multiple die cuts and, involving techniques like embossing and sponging and lots of layers.  Today, I decide a quick, simple cards would do just fine.  I love that I can create such beautiful cards with so few items.  A layer of dry embossing using the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder.  A lovely die cut using Stampin' Up! Ornate Layers Dies, and a simple, stamped sentiment using the Ornate Thanks Stamp Set. Then a simple ribbon with a metallic thread running through it.  Once I finished, and while all my supplies were in front of me, I decided to use the same layout with a different sentiment, which you can see in the photos below.

The basecard for this card is Seaside Spray.  Then another layer of Seaside Spray dry embossed with the Ornate Floral 3D Embossing Folder.

I die cut the sentiment layer out of Whisper White Cardstock using the Ornate Layers Dies.  The sentiment for one card is from Ornate Thanks Stamp Set.  The sentiment for the other card is from Healing Hugs Stamp Set.

The ribbon is the Seaside Spray 1/5" Metallic Ribbon.  I decorated the envelope, below, using one of the stamps from Healing Hugs Stamp Set.

When you need a card fast, reach for the Ornate Garden Suite and you'll love the variety you can create using the gorgeous dies, embossing folders and stamps in this Suite.  I love that Stampin' Up! puts so much thought into giving us tools to make stunning cards using just a few of the items in this suite.  You'll be proud to send someone special cards made using this lovely suite.

Suspicious Credit Card Charges

Over last weekend Stampin' Up! became aware of unusual activity involving questionable charges from Stampin' Up! on some demonstrator and customer credit cards in North America.

Stampin' Up! has been notified by their payment processor that refunds/corrections have been issued for the rebilling problem that occurred over last weekend.  They also received further clarification from the payment processor that the rebilled amounts were tied to purchased on January 31, 2020 and February 1, 2020.  Those affected should see the credit transactions either in pending or processed on their accounts either today or tomorrow.  The timing is dependent on the processes of the cardholder's financial institution (the credit card issuer.)

Because this error occurred completely with the payment processor's systems, Stampin' Up! lacks access to data and information regarding who was affected and the overall scope of the issue.  Stampin' Up! had many people working through several channels to understand the issue and make contact with the payment processor as soon as they became aware of something being amiss.  They were unable to make significant headway until the start of the business day on Monday.

If this issue has resulted in additional fees for you, or if you are still experiencing issues or if you have concerns, please contact Stampin' Up! Support at 1-800-782-6787 or ds@stampinup.com

We understand this has caused inconvenience and frustration, and apologize for this.  While the payment processor is reputable and widely used, Stampin' Up! will be looking for a new partner who is better able to work with them regarding their North American payment processing needs.  In the meantime, we've been assured by the current payment processor that they've taken steps to prevent this issue from occurring again.

Pick A Free Bundle Starter Kit Promotion

Stampin' Up! 's Pick-A-Free-Bundle Starter Kit Promotion is already half way over.   If you're thinking this is the time to take the leap, I encourage you to do so sooner rather than later.  Why?  Stampin' Up! has alerted us that products from the new annual catalog are selling above forecast...which is good news, as it means people staying home are finding more time to craft.   But for those about to order items of their choice for their Starter Kit, that means that some of the most popular suites and bundles have already gone into backorder status and will take a little longer to become available and then ship to you. And you'll find a few items are not orderable as Stampin' Up! has not yet received restocking dates from the vendor.

  • Join my team before June 30, 2020, and you get a Starter Kit of items you select from the catalog worth $125 USD, for only $99 USD, and you'll also select any stamp/punch bundle from the new 2020-2021 Annual Catalog for FREE
  • When you purchase the $125 Starter Kit for $99, you'll select One stamp and punch bundle (p.168-169) or ONE stamp and die bundle (p.173-179) from the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog, in addition to the regular Starter Kit.
  • That could add up to another $60+ to your starter kit, depending on the value of the bundle you select.  That's up to a $185+ in merchandise for $99
  • Its a great way to stretch your dollars on your new Stampin' Up! annual catalog order.
  • And no shipping costs!

Read more about joining my team as a demonstrator here.    Then place your Starter Kit order on my Sign Up Page .  You'll have your Demonstrator ID number within a few minutes, and you can immediately place another order for the remainder of your New Annual Catalog items at your 20% off New Demonstrator Discount plus earn the Extra $25 Stampin' Rewards if your order totals $250 USD (not including tax and shipping).  This offer is also open to Demonstrators who dropped and want to rejoin my team.

Masculine card ideas using Beautiful World Stamp Set

  • Beautiful World Stamp Set
  • World of Good Suite will become your go-to for masculine cards
  • Stampin' Up! announces preorder date for Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine

Stampin' Up! Beautiful World Stamp Set

Weather you need a masculine graduation card, a Father's Day Card, or a Congratulations-on-the-New Job card, you'll find yourself reaching for the World of Good Suite from the Stampin' Up! annual catalog.  Today I used the Beautiful World Stamp Set and the coordinating World Maps Dies along with the new Cinnamon Cider map print from the World of Good Specialty Designer Series Paper to create my card.  I used the World Maps Dies to cut a Brass Foil Sheet overlay for a circle of Cinnamon Cider.  I stamped and die cut other images from this set, and used Blends to color a coordinating ribbon.  I made several duplicates of this card while I had my supplies out as I  love having cards on hand to use when I need them.

The basecard for this card is Basic Black.  Then one of the prints from the World of Good Specialty Designer Series Paper.  The image layer has a mat of Basic Black and the images are mounted on Very Vanilla.

I die cut the glob stand out of Early Espresso using the World Map Dies.  I love that the die gives the edges of the die cut an embossed finished around the edges so it isn't just a flat die cut when finished.  I also used the dies to cut the Cinnamon Cider circle and then used another die from the set to die cut a sheet of Brass Foil to create the open map overlay.  The dies also cut the feathe, which I popped up on Dimensionals.

I used additional stamps from the Beautiful world Stamp Set for the rest of the images, stamping them in either Misty Moonlight or Cinnamon Cider -- both new In Colors for 2020-2022.

I added a ribbon that I created from 3/8" Gold Metallic-Edge Ribbon and Light Cinnamon Cider Stampin' Blends.  I love how fast the ribbon dries when using our alcohol-based Blends to change the ribbon color to match my card.  I love the extra touch the gold edge ribbon added, complimenting the World Map Die Cut. I can't wait to play with this new suite more as it has so many more elements for making beautiful cards.   You'll be proud to send someone special cards made using this lovely suite.
