Set aside some time today to make some cards and send some cards during World Cardmaking Day 2020. What's World Cardmaking Day? Its a day dedicated to making hand made cards to send to cherished friends and family members! Even though we may not be able to get together in person with our crafty friends to make our cards, we can still dedicate time today to lovingly create cards for those we care about using our own ideas or by creating cards using the videos below.

Here are some great card ideas you'll have fun making.

Project Idea 1. Are you ready for a World Cardmaking Day challenge? Stampin' Up! is asking demonstrators, friends, family members and customers to help us collectively send 60,000 handmade cards around the world during World Card Sending week (4-10 October). Christmas Card using Snowflakes from Borders Abound Stamp Set

There's a little part of me that's tickled at how cute the snowflakes boarder from the Borders Abound Stamp Set turned out on today's Christmas Card. I used a Merry Christmas sentiment from the For Unto Us Stamp Set, and die cuts from the Tasteful Labels dies and the deer from the North Pole Wonder Dies to create this card. The background behind the deer is dry embossing using the Parisian Flourish 3D Embossing Folder. The Cherry Cobbler print on the deer is from the Regals 6" X 6" Designer Series Paper pack. A white crinkle seam binding bow and a Cherry Cobbler Rhinestone compliment this card.

Deer Christmas Card with snowflake borders

The basecard for this card is Thick Whisper White. Then a layer of Cherry Cobbler layer. The image layer is Whisper White.

I used the snowflake die from the Christmas Layers Dies and Die cut snowflakes out of Whisper White. I turned a Square Vellum Doilies silver by covering it with Versamark, covering it with Silver Embossing Powder, and set it using my heat tool. I trimmed sections of the Silver embossed doily so that it fit behind the banners.

I created three banners. One in Whisper White, which I stamped with a sentiment from the Snowflake Wishes Stamp Set. One in Cherry Cobbler. And a third banner from one of the prints from the 6" X 6" Neutrals Designer Series Paper in Smoky Slate. Then, die cut one of the deer from the North Pole wonder Dies from another print from the 6" X 6" Regals Designer Series Paper in Cherry Cobbler. The deer is mounted on dimensionals before adding it to the card front. Below are the Stampin' Up! items used to create this Christmas Cards.

For the past few days I've been playing with the the detail in the deer die from the North Pole wonder Dies. I love how this die cuts so cleanly, even the detailed antlers.
