Red & White Christmas Card using Stampin' Up! Frosted Gingerbread Stamp Set

I'm again using the Stampin' Up! Frosted Gingerbread Stamp set and coordinating Gingerbread Dies along with other products from the Gingerbread and Peppermint Suite to create todays fun card.   I love the versatility of this set as well as the full suite of products that make up this new holiday suite. I used Real Red and Basic White Cardstock along with a print from the Gingerbread & Peppermint 6" X 6" Designer Series Paper, and a bow made of Real Red Mini Ruffled Ribbon to create this fun card.   And don't forget, until 30 September, for each $50 or $100 order you place (less tax and shipping), you'll earn FREE Sale-A-Bration selections.

The basecard for this card is Real Red Cardstock.  Then a layer of Basic White; and another layer of Real Red.  Then the image layer is Basic White dry embossed with Tasteful Textile 3D Embossing Folder.  Then, the boarder layer on the bottom is a print from the Gingerbread & Peppermint 6" X 6" Designer Series Paper.     

I then die cut a the ornament, star and bell bases from Real Red; and then die cut the Basic White layers using the Gingerbread Dies.  I used the Seasonal Labels Dies to create the sentiment layer, and stamped one of the sentiments from the Frosted Gingerbread Stamp Set in Real Red ink.  I used another stamp from the Frosted Gingerbread Stamp Set to decorate the edges of the sentiment.  I finished the card by adding a bow from the Real Red Mini Ruffled Ribbon, which is also part of the gingerbread & Peppermint Suite.   

You'll have a great time creating Christmas Cards using the Gingerbread & Peppermint Suite Collection.   This suite has coordinating papers, Mini Ruffled Ribbon, as well as the Frosted Gingerbread Bundle Stamp Set and Dies. The suite includes many coordinating items include Kraft Paper, Acrylic Shapes, Decorative Mask to use with Embossing Paste, Memories and More cards and envelopes, and a coordinating Pillow Box Die. I know it is a bit early to be showing Christmas Card ideas, but if you have a large list of family and friends, you'll want ideas to get you started on your handmade cards early.  I'm showing an idea for using the Frosted Gingerbread Stamp Set today to create a more traditional card vs. the fun Frosted Gingerbread card I've shown previously.  I've used a variety of new products including Brushed Metallic Cardstock, Gold Shimmer Ribbon, and the Merry Melody 3D Embossing Folder  And don't forget, until 30 September, for each $50 or $100 order you place (less tax and shipping), you'll earn FREE Sale-A-Bration selections.

The basecard for this card is Thick Basic White.  Then a layer of Night of Navy.  And then a layer of Basic White dry embossed with the Merry Melody 3D Embossing Folder.  Then a wide banner of Night of Navy was added to create the image layer.  

I then die cut a  the ornament using the Gingerbread Dies.  I cut the solid base out of Brushed Metallic Cardstock, and then I cut the detailed part of the ornament out of Night of Navy.  I used another die from the Gingerbread Dies to die cut the Brushed Ornament image running across the width of the card.  I added a sentiment from the Frosted Gingerbread stamp set.  I stamped it in Versamark on the Night of Navy layer, covered it using White Emboss Powder from the Basics Stampin' Emboss Powders set, and set the powder with my heat tool.  I finished the card by adding a bow from the Gold 1/4" Shimmer Ribbon.  

I made a large collection of these cards for a swap with other Demonstrators, and enjoyed creating a more traditional look with this set.  With the recent launch of the July-December 2021 Mini Catalog, you'll want to place an order early so you have plenty of time to work on Fall and Holiday projects that your friends and family will love.  Additionally, we're all aware of the ongoing tie up of ships in ports around the world.  To avoid any out-of-stocks of new Mini catalog merchandise, I'm recommending customers order from these catalogs as early as possible to avoid delays.
