Here's what you can make with your Free Sale-A-Bration Selection

I've been playing with the Friendly Hello Stamp Set and the coordinating Hello 12" X 12" Designer Series Paper, which is one of the Free Sale-A-Bration Selections, and I've learned some things I wanted to pass on to help your create with this wonderful selection. This is a longer post than usual, so enjoy!

I found that several of the elements in some of the prints in the Designer Series Paper can be enhanced using the coordinating stamp set.  How cool is that!  In the print I used on today's card, I stamped the flower images, branches and other elements.  I fussy cut the the largest flower and leaves image from one of the Granny Apple Green prints and then stamped in Shaded Spruce and Granny Apple Green.  I was trying to case one of the cards shown on page 13 of the Sale-A-Bration Brochure, that had several sample ideas for using this paper and stamp set, and after closely inspecting the sample, I realized that adding stamped images to the preprinted paper enhanced the images considerably. 

The print I chose from the Friendly Hello 12" X 12" Designer Series paper pack had the flowers and leaves on one side and the colorful stripes on the other side.  I added a rectangle of Vellum Cardstock and included a piece of 3/8" Fresh Freesia Open Weave Ribbon.  I used the Circle Dies to create labels for one of the sentiments from the Stamp Set.  Read more about Sale-A-Bration below. 

The basecard for this card is Fresh Freesia, which you can't see, as it is covered by a layer of the striped print from the Friendly Hello 12" X 12" Designer Series Paper.  Then a layer of Vellum Cardstock Die cut using one of the rectangles from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.

The floral image layer is fussy cut from one of the prints from Friendly Hello 12" X 12" Designer Series Paper.  I used the twigs and leaf stamp and the small three buds stamps and added stamped images on top of the printed images.

  

I also found that the two flowers from the Friendly Hello stamp perfectly over the flowers in the print I fussy cut.  I think it look great both non stamped and stamped, but I love the depth that the stamped image adds to the print! I used Granny Apply Green ink to match the paper.

I then stamped the sentiments onto a die cut Basic White label.  One card uses sentiment labels cut with the Layering Circles Dies.  The other card uses a sentiment label cut with the Stitched So Sweetly rectangles. Both sentiments are included in the Friendly Hello stamp set.  I also added 3/8" Fresh Freesia Open Weave Ribbon and a few 2021-2023 In Color Jewels.  I used the jewels to hide the glue dots under the cardstock to help hold the vellum cardstock in place.  I can't wait to try stamping on some of the other prints in the Friendly Hello Designer Series Paper pack.  I'm also anxious to try stamping some images in Gold Embossing Powder to give the paper a classier look for very special occasions.

Another new set from the new January-June Mini Catalog using Daffodil Daydream

I couldn't wait to use the Daffodil Daydream Stamp Set when I saw it in the the January-June 2022 Mini Catalog that recently launched.  It's part of a bundle with an enormous set of dies, but I wanted to highlight just the Daffodil Daydream Stamp Set to show you it works wonderfully alone without the coordinating  Daffodil Dies.  You can find this on page 37 of the new catalog.   I'll show the coordinating dies in an upcoming post, but today I wanted to showcase the beautiful daffodils.  I also used the new Gingham Embossing Folder on one of the background layers.  And I added accent using the Painted Label Dies.  I used A color combination of Daffodil Delight (of course), and Basic Black and Basic White.  the Daffodils are easily colored using Blends markers.  The stamp set also includes these small butterflies, which I Hand cut, colored with Stampin' Blend alcohol-based markers and added them to my card front.  

The basecard for this card is Daffodil Delight Cardstock.  Then a layer of Basic Black Cardstock , followed by another layer of Daffodil Delight dry embossed with the Gingham Embossing Folder. 

The image layer is Basic White with a thin border of Basic Black along the left edge of the Whisper White.  The bottom of the Whisper White image layer includes a die cut from the Painted Labels Dies.  The edges of the image layer include Doilies from the Heart and Home Doilies set.  One side of the doilies are either Basic Gray, Cinnamon Cider, or Misty Moonlight.  The reverse side of all three doily colors is white, which is what I used for this card. 

  

The daffodil image is stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento Ink and then colored with light and dard Daffodil Delight Blends and light and Dark Granny Apple Green Blends.  I then stamped the sentiments onto a die cut Basic white label bordered with Basic Black.  I stamped the butterflies in Tuxedo Black Memento and colored them with Daffodil Delight Blends also before popping them up on Mini Dimensionals and adding them to the card.  In hindsight, I could have used a smaller sentiment shape to allow more of the Daffodil stems to show.  That's how we learn.
