Last Chance Sale on 2021-2022 Annual Catalog Items

It is just a little over one month before the new Annual Catalog is released.  Check the Stampin' Up! OnLine Store for the Last Chance Products 2021-2022 Annual Catalog Sale.   Some items at deep discounts;  up to 50% off!

Retiring List (with discounts) - See which products are on their way out once the Stampin' Up! 2021-2022 Annual Catalog Retires 2 May 2022

How to get the most from the Retiring Lists

Know what's retiring:  I like to mark my current catalog with items I currently own, and items that will retire.  That way I know which products will carry over before I place a Last Chance order.  Retiring In Color ink refills and Retiring In Color Cardstock tend to sell out right away.  Save also on the In Color Blends Markers in Cinnamon Cider, Just Jade, Magenta Madness and Misty Moonlight, which are on the Retiring Products List.

Same on Carry Over Bundles:  Once my catalog is marked with retiring items, I decide if one of my favorite bundles is on the retiring list.  The bundle may retire, but the individual pieces may carry over to the next catalog.  If its a favorite on my Wish List, I move it to my Shopping List.  The bundle savings of 10% over the cost of purchasing each piece separately from the new annual catalog makes it worthwhile to purchase now.

Carry Over Products - After you've marked your catalog with retiring products, it is easier to see which products will still be available after the current Annual Catalog Retires.  Since one of the unique points about Stampin' Up! is that our products coordinate between all current catalogs, you'll enjoy pairing what you have with new products becoming available in the 3 May 2022 Annual Catalog.

Products Sell Out Fast - Once you decide which Last chance Products you want, order as soon as possible so you don't miss out on these savings.  Availability of retiring products is only while supplies last.  Have a few "back-up" items to your Shopping List in the event an item becomes unavailable while placing your order.

Cards created using images from Symbol of Fortune Specialty Designer Series Paper

  • Stampin' Up! Symbols of Fortune Specialty Designer Series Paper
  • Beyond the Horizon March 2022 Paper Pumpkin Unboxing Video now available
  • 20% savings on Mini Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine end March 31
I'm so impressed with the Symbols of Fortune Specialty Designer Series Paper in the January-June 2022 Mini catalog.  This paper can be used to create cards even without the coordinating stamp set and dies.  I cased these cards from another demonstrator, Rachel Tessmar from StampYourArtOut.com as the basic idea for creating cards from just the paper.  Instead of stampin' the images, I found images among the prints in the symbols of Fortune Specialty Designer Series Paper, and fussy cut them out of the Designer Series Paper for my cards.  Check out her post for all the cutting dimensions for both her and my cards.  You'll also want to check out the Crane of Fortune Bundle, Item 157663, which includes the Crane of Fortune Stamp Set and the Good Fortune Dies to create even more beautiful cards with the Symbols of Fortune Specialty Designer Series Paper.  These cards fit our standard size Basic White Medium Envelopes, Item 159236.

Two cards created with images fom the Stampin' Up! Symbol of Fortune Specialty Designer Series Paper

To create today's card, I used a base card of Evening Evergreen Cardstock. THis base card is cut to5-1/2 X 11", and then scored along the long side at 4", 5-3/4", 7-1/2" and 9-1/4".  The Evening Evergreen Cardstock is such a rich, dark green that you could mistakenly think it is Basic Black from the photo, but I assure you, it is genuinely Evening Evergreen Cardstock.  Then I cut  three 1-1/2 X 5-1/4" panels from one of the Symbols of Fortune Designer Paper to use on the zigzag background folds. I was careful to keep all three strips in the same sequence they appeared on the original 12" X 12" Symbols of Fortune sheet in order to have the patterns match when the background layer was lain flat.  Then I added the 3 X 6 " Evening Evergreen Panel.  This panel was scored at the 3" mark.  I covered one of the 3 X 3 panels with a print from the Symbols of Fortune specialty Designer Series Papers.

For the main image panel (front panel) I first used a Soft Succulent ink pad and a Blending Brush to add a soft background to 2/3rds of the Basic White panel.  Then I added the Basic White panel to the front 3 X 3 Evening Evergreen panel.  To complete the card front image, I fussy cut images from other prints in the Symbols of Fortune Designer Series Papers and i popped them up on Dimensionals before adding them to the card front image.

I finished the card by adding a sentiment from the Flowering Tulips Stamp Set.  It is stamped in Evening Evergreen Ink.
