Share What You Love Specialty Paper

Wow!  That's all I can say about today's card.  There's nothing at all subtle about this card.  I started out using the pattern on the reverse side of the Share What You Love Specialty Paper -- a very nice print filled with small flowers -- but once I turned this paper over, I just couldn't help myself.  I love bold, monochromatic colors.  This just happened to use some of my favorite colors. . . Rich Razzleberry and Sweet Sugarplum.  Sweet Sugarplum is one of the retiring In Colors that becomes unavailable May 31.  Looks like I'll be ordering a few extra packs as Sweet Sugarplum is one of my all-time favorite cardstock colors and it's a beautiful complimentary color with the print in the Share What You Love Specialty Paper.  I'm betting this will be one of the colors that returns with the next major color revamp Stampin' Up! does -- five years from now.  But I'm not waiting.  I'm ordering enough of this retiring paper now to hold me over!  Be sure to order your favorites before May 31.

I began with a Sweet Sugarplum basecard.  Then a layer of Rich Razzelberry, then a monochromatic print from the Share What You Love Specialty Designer Series Paper.

I stamped the corners of the Sweet Sugarplum basecard with a small flower stamp from the Make A Difference alphabet Stamp set, but so much more.  The Make a Difference Stamp Set is part of the Share What You Love Suit.  It includes 143 photopolymer stamps.  Many of the alphabets letters are double letters.  In addition, it includes numbers and symbols, plus a variety of small sentiments like "from the desk of", "This belongs to", "to" and "from", and the Stampin' Up! copyright, which you'll need if you pan to sell your completed cards and adhere to the Angle Policy of crediting Stampin' Up! with the artwork used on your cards.

I used the Large Letter Framelits to create the letters for "Mom" and then popped up the letters on foam adhesive strips.  Then I used the 1/4" Rich Razzleberry Velvet Ribbon and created a bow in the corner of the image layer.  This ribbon is included in two of the prerelease bundles.

Here's a close up this stamp set.  You'll find all kinds of uses for this set.

I'm happy that this designer series paper pack includes both florals images as well as both bold patterns and subtle prints, which lets you create different looks from this one paper pack.

Previous blog posts included details of the three prerelease Share What You Love bundles from the new catalog that you can purchase prior to the June catalog release.  Download a flyer here to see details of each bundle, the free gifts in each bundle and the new In Color stamp pads you can purchase today.

Last-Chance Products Available until May 31

Download the Last-Chance Product Lists and start your craft room clean up to remove your retired items so you have room for your purchases from the new catalog.  You'll likely want to place an order for any remaining items on your Wish List before they're gone, May 31.

It's also a good idea to stock up on reinkers for your old-style stamp pads, to pick up a pack or two of your favorite, retiring cardstock, and to add a roll of retiring ribbon to match your retiring Designer Series Papers.

To view all of the retiring products, visit my online store.  This is your best source to see if the products you want are still available.  As items sell out, they will no longer be listed in my online store.

While most items are only available until they sell out, retiring stamp sets will be available until May 25.
