Snowfall Thinlits Dies from Stampin' Up!

I've always loved Snowflake--stamps and dies.  I couldn't wait to put in my Demonstrator preorder for the new Snowflake Showcase promotion to start playing with this set of two coordinating stamp sets and the Snowfall Thinlits.  I showcased a beautiful card with this set in an earlier post.  Today, I chose to use the Snowfall Thinlits dies with Whisper White and Silver Glimmer paper. One major tip I want to pass on:  Use the new, thinner Glimmer Paper.  I made the mistake of grabbing a package of the old-style Glimmer Paper.  Big mistake with these detailed thinlits.  After using the new thinner Glimmer Paper, I love how much easier the new thinner Glimmer Paper is to die cut. So glad that Stampin' Up! made the change to thinner Glimmer Paper in this year's annual Catalog.

I've been so disappointed with the photos of these cards.  I tried artificial daylight bulbs and natural light and none of these photos show the beautify of these cards. I love them in real life.  I probably try other colored Glimmer Papers later.  For now, these basecards are Thick Whisper White cardstock.   Then a layer of Silver Glimmer Paper, and then another layer of Whisper White.

This card showcase just a few of the love snowflakes in the Stampin' Up! Snowfall Thinlit Dies.  The swirls on the left is a single die, which creates a stunning element.

The sentiment is stamped in Smoky Slate ink and is from the Peaceful Noel stamp set.  Such a simple card, but very dramatic.  An additional tip:  Back the Silver Glimmer Paper with Multipurpose Adhesive Sheets before die cutting the snowflakes.  This will make it extremely easy to simply remove the backing and adhere to your card front, without the problem of getting glue on the front side of your delicate  snowflakes.  Its also a major time-saver when creating a large number of cards.

This card uses more of the different snowflake dies from the Stampin' Up! Snowfall Thinlit dies.  Yes!! More sizes!  I love that I was able to cut all of the snowflakes for these two cards at the same time.  This die set includes an incredible assortment of different size snowflakes.

This card also uses a sentiment from the Peaceful Noel Stamp set.  It is stamped in Smoky Slate ink.

Both of these cards are perfect designs for making a stack of hand made cards for your Holiday messages.
The Snowflake Showcase includes two stamp sets, coordinating thinlits, and matching embellishment.
