Fun Fold Card using Simply Succulents

  • Stampin' Up! Simply Succulents
  • Potted Succulent Dies
  • Coming 2 February 2021:  Hey Chick and Hey Birthday Chick Bundles

Here's a fun swap card I received from Kathy Maurer. She used the Simply Succulent Stamp Set with the coordinating Potted Succulent Dies.  This is a bundle in the Stampin' Up! January-June 2021 Mini Catalog, and you'll love the different dies in the Potted Succulents Dies.  Here, Kathy Myer has created a fun fold card using the scalloped rectangle dies from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies.  The background on the card front is created by repeated stamping one of the small succulents from the Simply Succulents Stamp Set.  Accenting the card front are three of the Pastel Pearls.

The card above uses a basecard of Mint Macaron Cardstock.  A small succulent stamp and Mint Macaron ink was used to create a pattern on the card front.  Then one of the scalloped rectangles from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies was used to die cut a window onto the card front.  This window piece of Mint Macaron Cardstock was used as the base for the image layer.

A smaller scalloped rectangle from the Stitched So Sweetly Dies was used to die cut another layer out of Whisper White Cardstock (Now Basic White Cardstock) to adhere on top of the Mint Macaroon rectangle.  Then the small succulent was stamped on Mint Macaron Cardstock, and die cut with its corresponding die from the Potted Succulents Dies.  Next, one of the wavy leaf dies from the Potted Succulents dies was used to die cut one of the wavy leaves from Soft Sea Foam Cardstock. Both were added to the Whisper White (Now Basic White) image layer.  The inner Whisper White layer is 8" X 5-1/4", and scored at 4" and 6".

The sentiment for this card is also from the Simply Succulents Stamp Set.  It is stamped in Rich Razzelberry Ink.  Three Pastel Pearls were scattered on the image layer.

On the inside of the card, the small succulent is stamped in Rich Razzelberry ink and colored using Mint Macaron Stampin' Blends.  This is such a fun card because of its unusual die cuts and folds.  You'll love giving this card to someone special in your life.
