Card using New Stampin' Up! Dragonfly Die

  • New Detailed Dragonfly Die
  • Occasions Catalog availabe January 4

New Dragonfly dies from the Occasions catalog

I've been playing with my new Occasion catalog products that I was able to order early after attending the Stampin' Up! OnStage event earlier this month.  Demonstrators can begin placing their orders December 1.

This is the Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Die and another beautify new die called So Detailed Thinlits, used to create the flowers. Both will be available for customer orders January 4.

Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Die available in the upcoming Stampin' Up! Occasions catalog

These two dies complement each other and create stunning detailed cards quickly.  The small dragonflies die actually cuts 5 small dragonflies.  I cut them apart and only used two on this card.  The background is textured with the Petal Burst Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.  You'll want to add these to your Wish List for projects you'll created from new products from the Stampin' Up! Occasions catalog.  My customers will begin receiving the new catalogs towards the end of December.

Stamps: Designer Set of Cards stamp set (sentiment)
Ink: Old Olive

Accessories:  Petal Burst Textured Impressions Embossing Folder, Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Die, So Detailed Thinlits Dies, Fine-Tip Glue Pen, Layering Ovals Framelits, Dimensionals,  Standard Cutting Pads, Thin Die Adapter, Big Shot Platform, Big Shot Die Cutting Machine

Happy New Year!. . . And Occasions Sneak Peek

  • Happy New Year's card using new Occasions catalog products
  • An every-day card with Sneak peek products from new Occasions catalog
  • Jumpstart your Valentine cards and treats with these new stamps

Happy New Year's Day!  I was able to play in my craft room today. Such a rare treat!  So sad to see the holidays fly by.   Love hanging out with our nearly one-year old Australian Shepherd and my dear husband, who spent his holiday's redoing our kitchen cabinets and a long list of other house-hold projects.

I put together this card with several of the new items that will be available Friday, Jan 3, 2014, when the new Occasions Catalog is released.  The Memorable Moments stamp set from the main catalog has a full set of numbers making it a must-have set.  I used the Deco Labels collection Framelit and the Big Shot to make the background for the "2014".  I created an embossed boarder using the Stampin' Pierce Mat and a stylus and tracing the outline freehand.  Then to give it added dimension, I set it up on two layers of Stampin' Dimensionals.  I love the elegance of the gold foil and the vellum.  I was surprised at how well the Summer Starfruit ribbon matched the gold foil.

Recipe
Stamps: Memorable Moments, avail in the main catalog (132039 -wood, 126682 - clear), Seasonal Sayings (131937 - wood, 128009 - clear)
Paper:   Gold Foil, (returning favorite from the holiday catalog - 132622), Gold Fancy Foil Designer Vellum (1333363 - new in the Occasions catalog), Whisper White
Inks:  Versamark.  Both the sentiment and the numbers are Gold Embossed.
Accessories:  Gold Embossing powder, tray, and heat gun,  (New) Summer Starfruit 1-1/4" Striped Grosgrain Ribbon - 132980, Deco Labels collection Framelit, the Big Shot, magnetic base, and cutting mats, stylus, and Stampin' Pierce Mat.

FAQ:
Q.  How long will it take my order to arrive?

A.  It depends on your distance from Salt Lake city Utah.  For instance, in Houston, if you order before 11 am Monday, you will general have your order by Thursday or Friday of the same week.  Add more time if you are ordering the week a new catalog is released.  You can also order for 2-day or overnight shipping, which will put your order in front of other orders being pulled by the Stampin' Up! warehouse.  Software downloads for My Digital Studio are available as soon as you order.

Here's another sneak peek card using new products from the new Occasions Catalog, to be released Friday, Jan 3rd, 2014.

This card uses the new 1-1/4 Pacific Point Grosgrain Ribbon, and two of the new stamps from the occasions Catalog due out Friday, January 3.  The flower is water colored with Daffodil Delight and More Mustard using an Aqua Painter and Stamp Pads.

Holloween Favor Baskets

Although it is still 95 degrees during the day in Texas, the evenings are beginning to cool down and I'm really getting into the mood for fall projects.

Here are two Halloween treat baskets using Spooky Bingo Bits stamp set.  The treat baskets were cut using the Fancy Favor Bigz XL Die in the Big Shot, The handle was punched using the Ribbon punch.  Click photo for a larger image.

Visit my Online Store to buy the supplies to make this project

Recipe:

  • Stamps: Spooky Bingo Bits (123944 w, 123946 c), Delicate Doilies (122590-w; 122592-c)
  • Paper:  Calypso Coral Texture cardstock, Wisteria Wonder Textured cardstock, Whisper White, Basic Black
  • Ink:  VersaMark, Calypso Coral, Wisteria Wonder
  • Accessories: Lace Ribbon Border Punch (122362),Perfect Pennants Bigz L Die (123126), Scallop Square Punch (119884) 1-3/4" Circle Punch(119850), 1" Square punch(124094), Black Embossing Powder (109133), Powder Pal (102197),  Big Shot Die Cut machine (113439), Heat Tool (100005)

Earlier this week I showed you samples of Halloween accent bottles using the Pick Your Poison Quick accents.  Great for Halloween decorating!  Look how well they coordinate with these little treat baskets.  Wouldn't they make great favors baskets for a Halloween party, for trick-or-treaters, or to fill with treats for your co-workers?  The Pick Your Poison self-adhesive Quick Accent labels apply quickly to bottles and jars turning them into great accents for the setting up a Halloween theme.  Click the photo for a closer look.

The Pick Your Poison Halloween Quick Accents are also available as a digital Download (125614) for use with My Digital Studio software , which means you can easily make multiples of the same label if you want to use them on your baskets, rather than a stamped image.  I love that Stampin' Up! makes it so easy to switch up how we use the wonderful design elements created by the Stampin' Up! artists.  I've said it before, but I believe the images get better every year!

If you're in the Houston, TX area, check out my upcoming class using these products from the Holiday Mini Catalog.

Let me know if you have any questions about any of these cards.

Enjoy!
