Coffee Cafe Stamp Set

I was looking through my patterned papers today to see what I hadn't used in a while, and came across a pack of Be Merry and a pack of Coffee Break Designer Series Paper.  Both include papers with Garden Green  so I decided to mix them and created this card.  The stamp set is one of my favorite, yet I haven't used it as much as I should.  Ever done that?  Buy a set, use it a few time and then let it sit while you play with the newer sets?    The Coffee Cafe set and the matching Coffee Cups Framelits include such cute elements!!   This is the first time in weeks that I haven't used Blends of my card.  If you're wondering if you'll use Blends enough to justify the investment, I can assure you that once you have them in your hands, you'll find many more uses for them than you first imagined!

I used a basecard of Crumb Cake, then a pattern from the Be Merry Designer Series Paper.  Then a pattern from the Coffee Break Designer Series Paper with a 3/8" Soft Sky ribbon tied around it.

The cup is stamped in Early Espresso on Whisper White.  The banner is die cut out of Early Espresso, and the die also corrugates the banner.  Then there is a Kraft corrugated oval and Kraft corrugated heart from the Corrugated Elements embellishment pack which are used as accent.

The sentiment is from the Coffee Cafe set.  Its stamped in Garden Green on Whisper White and die cut using one of the dies from this set.  I love that our inks give such solid coverage.  Buy the Coffee Cafe stamp set and Coffee Cups framelits dies together and save 10% by purchasing the as a bundle.

Coffee Cafe Stamp Set from Stampin' Up!

I was reading an article about Happiness this morning.  It talked about the importance of routines -- especially morning routines -- that set the tone for your day.  It said to take the time to savor something in the morning to help your set that tone.  A long walk; your workout routine; or savoring your first cup of coffee.  That sure hit home with me.  I love my first cup of coffee with real (heavy) cream in the morning.  My husband makes a pot of Starbucks Verona coffee first thing in the morning and I wait until after I do a mile walk with our dog before I allow myself a cup.  There's nothing like the smell of fresh ground coffee beans when he makes the first pot to put a smile on my face.  Then, to pour a cup into my favorite flowered mug with thick cream floating on the top, just starts the day off right.  I hit my sunny craft room overlooking the forest out the back windows and the park out the front windows with my fresh cup of coffee, and my day just can't get any better!

My card today reflects my happy morning coffee ritual.  I'm retired now, so I don't need to pour my fresh coffee into a travel cup, but that was my routine for years. My favorite morning radio talk show plays as I work on my cards with my Australian Shepard, Cookie at my feet and my dear husband a few steps away working in his office.  Sigh....Another perfect day...

The Coffee Cafe stamp set has so many fun elements.  From coffee cups, to iced drinks, to cup cakes...this set does it all, including wonderful sentiments, tags, and other fun elements.

I used another stamp set called Timeless Textures to create the coffee cup stains on my background.  There is a paper in the Coffee Break Designer Series Paper pack with this coffee cup stain design, but its on a Whisper White background, and I wanted to use Crumb Cake for my background.  Ya gotta love that Stampin' Up! designers  give us so many options when they put together stamp sets, dies and coordinating papers in the Stampin' UP! product line.  To stretch the use of your stamp sets, there are so many coordinating pieces to use with this set!  Take a look at page 30 -31 in the annual catalog to see everything included in the Coffee Break Suite that works with this stamp set.  Then, look through the catalog at other items that work well with this set, such as the Timeless Textures stamp set, that opens up even more options.

I stamped the coffee mug on Whisper White in Soft Suede.  The banner on the cup is Crushed Curry with the sentiment stamped in Soft Suede.  The banner on the Crumb Cake background is Soft Suede with a 3/8" Crushed Curry Mini Chevron ribbon accent.  The little tag with the word "Hi" is from this stamp set as well and there are several other cute pieces to use in this set.  I attached the little tag to the ribbon using our Linen Thread.  The cup, cut topper, cup banner and mini tag are all cut with dies from the coordinating Coffee Cups Framelits Dies.  The Coffee Cafe stamp set and the Coffee Cups Framelits Dies can be purchased together as a bundle for a savings of 10% over the individual prices.  Order item number 145331.
