Nature Sings Stamp Set from Stampin' Up!

Today I'm showing one of the card we made during our Fall Card Class earlier this week.   This is a wonderful layout for your Fall cards.  We created this card using a Christmas sentiments and I'm showing cards today using a sentiment that works for Thanksgiving or a general greeting card.  This card uses a combination of the Nature Sings stamp set, Rooted in Nature Stamp set, and Country Home stamp set.  I love that so many of Stampin' Up! stamp sets work together to create beautiful cards.

See which 3 stamp sets were used on this card

This card layout would easily work as a Birthday Card for the hunter or nature lover in your life, or any Fall theme.

The basecard for this card is Mossy Meadow.  The next layer is Crumb Cake cardstock stamped off with an image from the Rooted in Nature set on the left side, and a small piece of Wood Textures 6 X 6" Designer Series Paper on the right side.

The image layer is Very Vanilla cardstock backed by a layer of Soft Suede. The stamped-off image from Rooted in Nature is again used as the background on the image layer.  It is stamped-off Crumb Cake.  Then the image of the Elk from Nature Sings Stamp Set is stamped in Soft Suede.

The sentiment is from a third stamp set, the Country Home set, from the Stampin' Up! Holiday Catalog.  I used the Everyday Label punch and only punched one side at a time in order to make the label large enough for the sentiment.  The sentiment is stamped in Soft Suede on a punched piece of Crumb Cake.  I also punched a Soft Suede label using the Everyday Label punch, cut it down the center, and used it to frame each end o the sentiment.  Then I added Gold Metallic pearls to each end of the label and one more to the image layer.

If you create a lot of masculine cards, Nature Sings, Rooted in Nature and the Wood Textures 6  6" Designer Series Papers are a must for your Wish List.

Get ready for Fall greetings with Country Home Stamp from Stampin' Up!

  • Stampin' Up! Country Home
  • 3 ideas for using Country Home stamp set

Stampin' Up! Country Home Stamp Set

Earlier in September I posted a card made with the Stampin' Up! Country home set that I created for a swap.  Today, I'm sharing a couple more beautiful ideas for using the Country Home set I received from this swap.  Swaps are such a fun way to get great ideas for using stamp set that boost your creativity.

Three ideas for using COuntry Home Stamp Set

Above is the card I created on the left and swaps I received from Wendy McGrath and from Barbara Harmon.

The rich, Fall colors used on both cards I received in the swap are beautiful.  The Chicken Wire Elements and the variety of techniques used on Wendy McGrath's card below are beyond stunning.  She used three different Designer Series Paper, embossed one of the cans in Silver embossing powder, used blends to color the flowers, and used the Tin Tile Dynamic Impressions Embossing folder and Silver Foil as an additional accent.  The fussy cutting alone on the cans and flowers is impressive!!  Cards like this make swapping such a joy.

Barbara Harmon's card, below is equally impressive in the choice of beautiful Blackberry Bliss, Soft Suede and Mango Melody cardstock.    Barbara also used the Tin Tile Dynamic Impressions Embossing Folder on the Soft Suede background for this card for a stunning background accent.

Both cards are beautifully executed and provide great ideas for using the Country Home Stamp set for Fall greetings.

I think swaps are a wonderful way to meet other stampers, see how others use new stamp sets, and i think both Wendy McGrath and Barbara Harmon did outstanding jobs showing off the Country Home Stamp set from the Stampin' Up! Holiday catalog.  You can download free copies of the Stampin' Up! Holiday catalog and Annual Catalogs at this link.
