Card idea to take you away from it all using the Stampin' Up! Parisian Beauty Bundle

  • Stampin' Up! Parisian Beauty Stamp Set
  • Parisian Flourish 3D Embossing Folder
  • Sale-A-Bration ends March 31 - More free selections added

Stampin' Up! Parisian Beauty Bundle

Today's card uses a mix of new and some retired products.  I strongly support using up your current stash while you're at home right now protecting yourself and your loved ones.  While your most important job is to protect yourself and your loved ones, it is also an opportunity to add some cheer to others who may not be able to surround themselves with family or close friends.  Make some cards today and drop them in the mail to those you wish to know you're thinking of them.

Today I'm highlighting the Parisian Beauty Bundle, which includes the Parisian Beauty Stamp Set and the Parisian Dies from the Stampin' Up! January-June Mini Catalog. This is part of the Parisian Blossoms Suite, and it includes the fabulous Parisian Flourish 3D Embossing Folder and Petal Pink 1/4" Metallic-Edge Ribbon.  This was one of the cards we made at a recent show box swap, one of the best ways to build your card ideas.

The basecard for today's card is Crumb Cake Cardstock.  Then a layer of Petal Pink dry embossed using the Parisian Flourish 3D Embossing Folder on the left side and a retired Designer Series Paper on the right side.  Check your stash, you may have some of the Petal Promenade Designer Series Paper for last year's annual catalog, which was used on the right side of the card front.

Several dies cuts were added to the card front using dies from the Parisian Dies.  The Eiffel Tower was die cut from Silver Foil paper.  The word, merci, was die cut from Melon Mambo cardstock.  The curlicue is die cut out of Whisper White.  The Fleur de Lise  is stamped on Whisper White with Rich Razzelberry ink.

I added a bow from Petal Pink 1/4" Metallic-Edged Ribbon.

This is a great card to send to someone you want to thank for their help during these challenging times.  Or use another sentiment from a stamp set or one of our word dies like Sweet Silhouettes, Well Written, or Word Wishes Dies to personalize the card for your specific use.  Let's keep stampin' to take our mind off the news while we enjoy our time at home.  Sending handmade cards is a great way to stay in touch when you can't be with distant loved ones and your cards will be greatly appreciated during trying times.

If you don't have a demonstrator and want a copy of the January-June 2020 Mini catalogcontact me.   I would love to be your Stampin' Up! Demonstrator.

Braided Border Card with Inspiring Iris images from Stampin' Up!

  • Stampin' Up! Inspiring Iris Stamp Set
  • Braided Border Punch
  • Sale-A-Bration ends March 31 - Order today to earn free selections

Stampin' Up! Inspiring Iris

Today I felt like I needed to use some bright colors to match the beautiful Spring we're having in Houston.  I started by punching the edges of the Granny Apple Green cardstock using the Braided Border Punch.  Then I used the Inspiring Iris Stamp Set to add lovely shades of purple to create the Iris images.   I wanted to show you a close up of the Iris image because it is created with two-step stamps that also creates textures.   The Inspiring Irish stamp set from Stampin' Up! is from the Annual Catalog.

The basecard for today's card is Granny Apple Green.  The trick to aligning the punching on both edges is to use the Border Punch one one edge, punching on the right side of the card front, turn the card front to the back side and punch the opposite edge from the back side of the card front.   Then I added a small layer of Highland Heather and a slightly smaller layer of Purple Posy.

I stamped the Iris image from Inspiring Iris in Gorgeous Grape.  Then the I used the two step stamp for the leaves using Granny Apple Green Ink.  There is another two-step stamp for the iris heads, which I stamped in Highland Heather.  .

I added a knotted Purple 3/8" Tricolor Ribbon to the base of the Irises.  The Happy Easter sentiment is from the Welcome Easter Stamp Set from the January-June 2020 Mini Catalog.  However, this could just as easily be a Happy Spring card or a Happy Mother's Day Card.  I added some of the Gingham Gala Adhesive-Backed Sequins to the top of the card to balance it out visually.

This is the perfect time to use your current stash of craft supplies as you spend some time in your Happy Stampin' Place.  Make a list of  friends, neighbors, and family that need a note of cheer, a friendly hello, or a note of appreciation to help them pass the time.  This is a great time to start your Easter Cards, Mother & Fathers Day Cards and any upcoming Birthday Cards you'll need.   Let's keep stampin' to take our mind off the news while we enjoy our time at home.  Sending handmade cards is a great way to stay in touch when you can't be with distant loved ones and will be greatly appreciated during trying times.
