Stampin' Up! Birds of a Feather Stamp Set

We're months from the Holidays, but I'm having so much fun with my Stampin' up! Demonstrator preorder from the Holiday Catalog.  The ideas are just flowing!  Today I'm using the Birds of a Feather Stamp Set from Stampin' Up!.  I've added a photo below to show that you'll want this set on your Shopping List when the Holiday Catalog ordering begins, as it includes the cutest images for Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas and Valentine's Day!  Talk about a set that will stretch your investment.  I love versatile sets like this.   You'll find this set on page 50 of the new Holiday Catalog, which should arrive in your mail box in the next week to 10 days.  Again, save this card idea to your Pinterest boards, as you're sure to want to CASE (Copy and Share Everything) this fun card when you get your Holiday catalog order.

Card sample using Birds of a Feather Stamp Set from Stampin' Up!

This card uses a basecard of Very Vanilla.  The next layer is Cherry Cobbler.  Then a layer of Crumb Cake dry embossed with the Corrugated 3D Embossing Folder.  You'll need the blue Embossing Plate with this 3D Embossing Folder if you ordered it from the June 2019 catalog.  I have the older version that just needs the Big Shot Platform and one cutting plate.  I'm going to label all of my embossing folders that need the new blue Embossing Plate with a Blue Dot so that I don't mix them up and potentially damage my cutting machine.  Also, when cutting the Crumb Cake layer, you'll want to add 1/4" to the length, as the paper size shrinks when embossed with the Corrugated Embossing Folder.

The tag layer is a print from the Wrapped In Plaid 6 X 6" Specialty Designer Series Paper.  This paper has  beautiful Gold foil line running through this Cherry Cobbler and Shaded Spruce paper.  I wanted the background on the banner to be a bit more Vanilla, so I brushed it with Very Vanilla Ink and a Sponge Dauber.

Then I used the Christmas bird from the Birds of a Feather Stamp Set and stamped it in Garden Green.  I used the circle from the Making Christmas Bright Set to create a circle base for the bird.  I punched the circle image out using a 2-1/4" Circle Punch.  I fussy cut the Christmas Bird and popped it up on Dimensional.

I stamped the sentiment from Birds of  Feather in Cherry Cobbler, then used a Cherry Cobbler Marker to draw a thin line around the outside of the sentiment and cut it out by hand (fussy cut) fora different look.  I used the Stitched Nested Label Dies to cut a Cherry Cobbler Label to mat the sentiment.  I can't wait to try this set for other Holidays!
