Stampin' Up! Gather Together & Paper Pumpkin

Sometimes you look at colors and you know what you need to do.  The August Paper-Pumpkin kit included an add-on kit with the most beautiful fall watercolor backgrounds.  It made me think of leaves turning in the northeast.  I wanted to recreate that feel so much, so I used the color scheme from the Paper Pumpkin August Add on kit, some of the Paper Pumpkin August kit contents, and the new Gather Together stamp set from the Holiday catalog to create my own version of Fall.

The base card for this card is Crumb Cake.  Then a layer of Cajun Craze.  Then another layer of Crumb Cake dry embossed with the Woodlands Embossing Folder.

Then I took a basecard from the Paper Pumpkin August Add-on Kit and Stamped the Leaf from Gather Together Stamp Set and stamped it across the watercolor print on one of the card fronts in the Add-On kit.  Then I used the coordinating dies Gathered Leaves Dies to die cut the leaf.

Then, just to make it difficult on myself, I stamped a leaf and die cut the leaf shape out the of the Cajun Craze Layer.  Then I lined up the leaf shape onto the dry embossed Crumb Cake layer and cut a leaf shape out of the Crumb Cake layer and fit the Cajun Craze leave into that layer.  I have no idea why I did it that way, but I loved the effect of the Cajun Craze leaf showing through to the Crumb Cake layer.  I'm sure there is an easier way to do this, but some days, when you're busy creating, you come up with very weird ways of getting to a final solution!

I then picked sentiments from the stamp set in the August Paper Pumpkin kit and stamped two different sentiments, to show the versatility of the Paper Pumpkin stamp set.  I also added a small bow at the top of the leaves from the August Paper Pumpkin Kit and added a few of the gold sequins from the August Paper Pumpkin kit to the card front.

You'll love having the Gather Together Stamp Set from the Holiday catalog on hand to create your Fall and Thanksgiving Cards.  Be sure to add this set to your Shopping List and be ready to place your Holiday catalog order on September 4, 2109

Tomorrow, August 27, 2019, is the last day to order Trimmer Blades

The Final Batch of Trimmer Blades (Item 126995) will be available online Tuesday, August 27 at 10 am (MT), and when they are gone, they will be gone for good.

It is important that if you want to place an order for these blades that you do so directly through my online store.  In the past, blades have sold out within minutes, and individuals placing single orders have had more success than demonstrators placing orders for multiple customers. Make sure your online account is completely up to date BEFORE August 27.  Then, be ready to log into my online store at exactly 10 am (MT).  If you log in early, you may have to log out and log in again after 10 am (MT) as the order system will need to update before you can order. Again, the Trimmer Blades Item # is 126995. The limit is three blades per customer.

New Paper Trimmer:  Also, Stampin' Up! announced that they will have a new paper trimmer available for demonstrators to purchase before the end of 2019, which will sell for US$25.00.  (Another reason to join Stampin' Up! as a Demonstrator, now.)  That likely means that customers will be able to purchase the new paper trimmers in early 2020.  Don't hesitate to contact me with questions.
