Butterfly Basics
Today felt like the perfect Spring day. The soft breeze, muted sunlight and very light drizzle on my morning walk with our Australian Shepherd was so refreshing. The trees and foliage are 50 shades of green with the abundant rains we've had this spring. I reached for a set that matched my mood this morning, Butterfly Basics.
I used a Pink Piroutte base card and Pear Pizzazz matting to my Whisper White layer. I added Rich Razzleberry as my contrasting color and also used it for my sentiment. This card works well with so many different sentiments and this set includes three very nice sentiments. However, I chose to use sentiments from two other sets That's the Tag and Tin of Cards.
I also use Butterflies Thinlits in two sizes to create the beautiful die cuts for this card. I used Pink Pirouette again for the larger butterfly and I used vellum for the smaller butterfly and layered them together. I ran the vellum butterflies through the Gently Falling Embossing folder to add dimension to the vellum paper. Then I accented the body of the butterfly with Basic Pearls. The Butterfly Basic set includes additional grunge elements and I stamped that in the lower left corner in So Saffron and the broken line I stamped in Rich Razzleberry.

Mr Brown arrived at 5:21 pm
I waited for the sound of the UPS truck all day, and it finally arrive with my premiere order from the new catalog!
My wonderful UPS man delivering my Stampin' Up! order. He's smiling because I'm bouncin gup and down!
One of the benefits of attending OnStage is that Stampin' Up! makes a certain amount of new catalog products available to OnStage attendees to order early. While demonstrators wait until early May to place their first order and customers can begin placing orders from the new catalog June 1, Stampin' Up! OnStage attendees are already beginning to create sneak peeks at the new colors, stamp sets and wonderful new accessories, punches, and dies.
Of course I ripped my package open and for you, here's a quick peek inside. Oh, Oh, I can't wait to finish this post so I can start playing. (...As she bounces up and down excitedly on her office chair...).
