I used the wonderful, new elements from the Star of Light stamp set and the Starlight thinlit die set to create this card.

Star of Light and Starlight thinlit dies

The card was difficult to photograph due to the shine from the silver embossing and the Silver Foil paper used for the stars, so you'll see several different views today.

The elements on this stamp set are embossed with Silver embossing powder. The new Big Shot Platform, paired with the Preciaon Base Plate and the Die Brush makes it easy to remove these detailed star die cuts. from the Starlight Thinlit dies, which coordinate with the Star of Light stamp set. Stampin' Up! Candy Cane elements coordinate for Christmas delight

I used elements from both the Candy Cane Christmas stamp set and the Star of Light stamp set to create this card.

The new Real Red 3/4" Stitched Edge Ribbon from the Holiday Catalog is the perfect accent to this simple card.

The elements on this stamp set are embossed with white embossing powder. The layering was a snap using the Layering Squares Framelits. I love how the cuts are perfect and the tight tolerances give this card a professional look. I used multipurpose liquid glue rather than snail or fast fuse so that I could align the squares and images once I put them in place. Liquid glue gives you a couple of seconds toposition your elements perfectly before it take hold.

While I'm waiting for the new Stampin' Up! catalog to go live Sept 1, I've been using up scraps and left overs from other cards. Here's a card I created with the Blossom Builder Punch and Blooms and Bliss Designer Series Paper..

I punched a tag using the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch, and then started layering the scrap of Blooms and Bliss Designer Series Paper on Sweet Sugarplum and Rich Razzelberry Card stock. Click for larger image.

I had flowers from another set of cards I made using the Bunch of Blossoms three-step stamp set and they worked perfectly with the color combination I chose for this card. The sentiment is also from the Bunch of Blossoms stamp set. It is stamped in Rich Razzelberry ink.
